Not sure if other forumites are having this issue, but scrolling on some forum threads is very sluggish (Chrome). Some threads are practically unusable on my Android phone (Chrome).
I've delved in with Chrome dev tools, and I've narrowed it down to the scrolling "marquee" signatures some users have, specifically the <marquee> element, such as this one from the "No Time To Die" thread, page 1:
Might be best to set .signature marquee { display: none } in the CSS, or something.

You can turn off forum signatures in your profile settings

Could also use a greasemonkey script and remove the marquees yourself for your own browser only.

suicida Ah superb, thanks. I've disabled signatures in my settings. I didn't realise there were settings hidden behind 'Edit Profile'. It's not a very logical place for global forum settings, because they're nothing to do with your personal profile info. zagibu I could use greasemonkey yeah, but I don't want random browser extensions taking up system resource, or causing issues when I'm working on my web dev.

Feels like it's something else if an OG - now deprecated - HTML element is causing your computer to slow. I mean, check the applied styles. Not like there's OTT transformations going on.
