This is definitely going to be the future of gaming as well as being EA's wet dream realized www.ledgerinsights.com/electronic-arts-recruits-for-blockchain-nfts-why-it-matters/ , but I digress.
Is anyone playing any of these games right now?
Stuff like Axie, Splinterlands, MOBOX etc...
Some like Axie have a ridiculous buy in cost but others are free to play and earn especially if you get in early.
The one I'm currently playing is Blankos Block Party. It's free to play, still in early access mode so any characters and accessories(which are all NFTs) you develop, earn or buy now will become rare when it's officially launched. You can totally play it free and do the grind to get characters as well.
Game play is relatively simple with fun little shooters or racing around courses that you can also design yourself too. But where it excels is in the characters themselves, designed by various 'famous' artists they really look amazing. And you can customize or blend them with other characters you get to create unique designs.
It has an active market place too for flipping if you want although getting almost 20-30% profit almost immediately but it may pay off to hold until it officially goes live. For now it's only on PC but that may change.
I've also tried Gods Unchained, free to start too but it's a card game and got bored in less than 5 minutes. lol Same with Mir4 on the phone.
There is Sorare too but that is just awful fantasy football panini cards which you eventually have to buy in.
Another one that looks promising is Phantom Galaxies who just released their trailer and claims the game 'combines open-world space sim with fast-paced mech shooter and a captivating story.'
I mean it looks good, sounds interesting but the biggest potential for it is that it is coming to consoles as well as PC so it could be a big game.
For now you can sign up to their newsletter and register your wallet for free airdrops. It's expected to launch early access in Q2 2022, so this could be another one to get in early on.
What are some others out there that are good or look promising?
