Conceding 0 shots on target in 90 minutes to 1-3 losers is such a spectacular bottle job.
As soon as that first goal went in they were heads down and finished.

Cityitis An uncanny ability to find a banana skin to slip over or torture your fans
Much to the behest of my Utd supporting older brother I chose City in the early 90's because of their ability to fuck things up, the silver lining from last night is I'm glad they've still got it......Jamie Pollock wonder own goals, playing keep-ball by their own corner flag when not realising need a winner, taking off De Bruyne and Rodri...Real didn't win that, we lost it. Just need to figure out how to educate my 11 year old who doesn't understand the concept of being able to laugh at yourself that this is the way.

Ha ha, I'd noticed some leaving late on.. can imagine them desperately trying to find ticket stubs etc and running back in! Daft at anytime, but when they have previous at making dramatic late turn arounds.. ??

I donβt think Iβve ever left early. A mate of mine was at the Arsenal Newcastle 4-4 and a load of people near him didnβt come back after half time.

Can probably count on one hand the number of time I've left early. Mostly midweek when winning comfortably and leaving 2 mins early means getting home an hour before if I'd stayed till the whistle. Remember starting to leave early once Vs QPR back in the terracing days and saw us score an equaliser just as I'd reached the top of the steps so can't leave tight games any more.

To my shame I always leave 10 minutes early (although having a wife in a powered wheelchair is a mitigating factor) Almost never miss a goal (Brighton so they don't score too often anyway!)

I have missed many more goals by being in the bogs though.

bladder of a man twice your age? me too. And a propensity to drink far more than I should. Less so these days tbf. But in my 20s, half a dozen pints minimum before a game wasn't uncommon.

On thing is leaving early from a normal game because life reasons but having travelled to Madrid for a CL semi-final against a team with quite the record in late comebacks is another. Quite bizarre.

Last week vs Roma, there were people leaving around 75 mins when we were pouring forward. It was our first European semi and they fucking bolted. Shambles.

Couldn't give a toss about City, but properly sad about Pep... I believe he is a great coach that makes a real effort to drive the game forward and does not compromise his vision to the needs of a specific match, he lives and dies by that sword, so to speak. Another coach would have the team to stay back and defend during the last minutes, he chose to attack (within reason, but still)...
Also, cannot stand Real or Florentino PΓ©rez, despise them with a passion, so I'll be rooting for Liverpool for the final \o/

While I do agree that it was a wonderful night, shouldn't lost sight of the fact that we're going to have to watch either Real or Liverpool win the damned thing. Nobody's really winning in the long run.

The fucker in this for me is I'll be in a field in Staffs likely watching Patti Smith when the final is on.
Hoping to get a decent 4g signal.

Thiago fit in time to make the squad. If he makes the starting 11 my money is definitely on a Liverpool win.
