Jokes aside. Ronaldo technique is honestly fucking incredible. What a volley that was. Yep. The one at the weekend was even better. Goal of the season contender.

What do we think the chances are of Man Utd snatching Emery from under the mighty Toon's nose?

What do we think the chances are of Man Utd snatching Emery from under the mighty Toon's nose? Zero. Although I can imagine the reaction would be... interesting.

I was possibly being somewhat facetious.
I mean ... let's face it, Ole's going nowhere, amirite?

If he gets us out of the group he’ll be fine I think. That and a 4th place finish in the league is the goal for this team, some great talent going forward but laughably bad in other areas

It feels pretty much a certainty now to me that Poch will be the next Man U manager.

It feels pretty much a certainty now to me that Poch will be the next Man U manager. See, I'm quite meh about that now since he seemed to burn out towards the end at Spurs and then been underwhelming at PSG. As a Spurs fan, what would be your assessment of us getting Poch in, do you think he'd have us challenging

He’s not going to make it at PSG. The culture at that club is fucked.
I honestly think he’s the perfect manager for United. He needs time and money to build something, he’s that kind of manager, but United want that. He is a brilliant manager, no,question. Our 16/17 team is the best Spurs team I’ve seen in my life (yes low benchmark haha) and should have won the league.

He's a superb manager. I dare say he's being made to play certain players at PSG upsetting the balance of the squad.
I think he'll have a Spursy trajectory here though. He's good enough that he'll have us punching for long enough to not invest properly in the squad, which will eventually cause all of our problems to hit us at once and fuck everything up. Only we can't blame it all on building a new football stadium.

What a complete and utter waste of two years that would feel like
Edit: to be clear he's been my preference since forever.

Ronaldo absolutely carrying. So many overrated players in the team. Are all of the players overrated or is the problem something else to do with how they're being organised and instructed? What's more likely? The front 5 or 6 available players are absolute top quality. Pogba can't even pass to players in front of him, holds on to the ball for far too long constantly, takes horrible touches and nearly breaks someone's leg every game and can't tackle for shit. It's quite obvious why he's going for free. Ole isn't telling Maguire to play like a drunk elephant on roller blades. So it's both I'd say.

It's 100% the manager and coaching team. We've got a fucking fantastic squad of players that are utterly going to waste. Playing unfit centre halves the second they are deemed technically able to play when we have others who could fill in isn't down to them.

If you say so. You're as qualified as Ole apparently.
Let's get Poch though. Won nothing with a great team, so should fit.

I have absolutely no idea why you persist with the nonsense that it's all down to the players. I'll always remember him fondly as a player but he's a fucking terrible football manager and I don't feel like I have to qualify that with anything. It's a fact and everyone knows it.

I'm not saying that. I said it's both. A lot of the players are playing badly, and doing stupid things. Some of them are also not good enough.
He's done as well as anyone else post Fergie, and turned the club around a bit. Unless you think scraping wins in the Europa League is something it isn't. Form is really bad this season, and yes, it could be the time for someone else if the right person is there.
I'm not saying you hate Ole, or aren't a real fan or any of that absolute bollocks. But some in this thread come across as whiney babies lol.

I still don’t get the denialism around Mourinho obviously being by far the most successful United manager since Fergie.

I mean if you’re judging by trophies alone, sure. But if that’s the case then his time at United was better than Poch’s at Spurs. Which I don’t think anyone would argue is the case.
He was brought in to win the biggest trophies with the club, he won 2 second rate ones with a 6th place finish, then a 2nd place finish while never being anywhere near first.
Solskjaer came in with lower expectations, allowed the team to play with more attacking freedom, got a 4th place and a 2nd place finish in his 2 full seasons. I think anyone would’ve taken that when he was made permanent.

City got 100 points in that season, to say nowhere near the winners is a bit strange in itself. It's not a regular occurrence.

So OGS has done better because he started with lower expectations.
I guess that makes sense. But also lol.

Have Utd won any other trophies post fergie? If not to use the second rate trophy argument is a bit silly when all the others haven’t even done that.
Also, I don’t think the EL is a second rate trophy at all.

I think the fact that Ole only just remembered that he had Sancho and VDB on the bench yesterday sums this up. How the fuck you can be 2-1 and not bring them on earlier I don't know. What did they both do to Ole?! It's bizarre, especially Sancho. Chase player for 2 years...bench him.

Also, I don’t think the EL is a second rate trophy at all. Only Moyes and Ole have failed to win a trophy. Unless you count the community shield, in which case only Ole has failed
