Most depressing win ever. We fall into a back 10 way too often, Trossard was awful and Merino coming on led to the forward press completely failing.

Do we know if White is injured? Presume he felt something as that sub kind of broke the team. Partey is a crap right back, bad defending and offers little going forward. Merino doesn't look like he understands the role yet. Diving in too much and leaving gaps.
If Saliba is suspended and White, Timber, Cala, Zinnie and Tomi are all injured...
Partey, Kiwior, Gabriel, Lewis-Skelly back four at the weekend? Yikes.

They were saying White was taken off because he was on a yellow but that doesn't usually bother Arteta.

I think this is more we escaped one and in the end we are 1 point above Real Madrid, so it isn't as bad as it seems... I'm not sure how we manage the weekend. I can already feel the fanbase rumbling (my Arteta out was clearly a joke). |

It's a disrupted side, so you're always likely to get disjointed performances. Focusing on players that win duels rather than creative ones is starting to feel like a balance issue in the side though - can't help feeling someone like ESR would have been a very good option to have yesterday.

It's easy to say the grass would be greener, but I do think if everyone was fit we'd be smashing it. First team has been absolutely decimated so I'm not surprised we're playing like shit. Just got to ride it out and hope for the best. A point against Liverpool would be a good result at the moment.

Defo. We're looking at Zinchenko or a 17 year old at LB vs Salah, and Partey at RB which not only causes issues at the back but also fucks the midfield.

Leverkusen very stubborn for an hour but Liverpool playing with mobile dribbling players up front have finally managed to break their back 5 down. Diaz with a lovely finish and then Cody Gakpo, in a rich vein of form getting a 2nd with a header.
To his credit, Slot certainly knows how to tweak tactics in matches, he's made subtle changes that have produced more chances.
