Yeah, very surprised. It was slight, but looked like contact though almost like Jota was trying to turn away. I thought AM were trying to get a red out of that when the Ref went to the screen.

Extremely hard to argue that there was even an error let alone a clear and obvious one

As a neutral, I think it would be great to Simeone in the Prem. He could genuinely turn any team into the absolute pantomime villains. Arsenal? Man Utd? Newcastle?

Was a proper soft pen, but wasn't more than a faint hope it would be overturned. Never expected it to be. I guess the ref saw the player throw himself to the ground and thought nah fuck that behaviour...
Got away with Keita's slack defending in the end. Looking very good to qualify now with 1 win from final 3 games enough to do it.

The VAR official decided it was "worth a second look" and effectively made the decision. The ref then shit himself and went with his colleague while pretending to maintain autonomy. |

The pen should have stuck, was weird one. You'd not be surprised if it wasn't given, but to give it and then overturn it?
