I only knew my Mum's parents and her sister, but then never saw them after a falling out over something stupid. Never knew a single thing about my Dad's parents. I never thought to ask as a child, but he never talked about his relatives at all.
It's always weird for me when there are 50 and 60 year olds at work who still have their parents around. Both of mine were gone when I was 30, neither of them were old.

Yup, same. It's a completely different reality without both parents and I find it a bit lonely when I'm talking to people that are a similar age to me who still regularly see their parents.
My mate and myself were at the pub the other night and his phone rang. It just said, "Dad". And he silenced it.
I asked him why, and he said he'd call him back in a bit.
I said to him, Fair enough, but do you know what I'd give to be able to have that phone call? Even just once?

If, like me, you think that the hoover with the brush attachment would be good to dust the Lego then unlike me, empty the hoover first to save the inevitable digging through the hoover waste to find the Lego that will get sucked up.

I tried to dust my keyboard in a similar manner, using the brush nozzle on a vacuum.
I couldn't even press F to pay respect to the lost keys.

Back to the grandparents topic, how many of here actually are grandparents? \o I think we'll need to rename the Parents thread soon.... (not for me!)(hopefully!). It is the next stage after empty nesting. Then retirement and death. Ticking them off, one by one.... Actually met my son's new girlfriend at the weekend. He's been "playing the field" since a big breakup, but he seems to have fallen for this girl. We were out in the pub where he works, which is our favourite, we lived round the corner before we were married. Drinking with my sisters and their husbands. She was lovely. Then I had to leave and go and see an Italian Genesis cover band play the whole of The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway. So an awesome day all in!

Boy, is my face red. Second one is literally healthier anyway, studies show that regular ejaculation reduces the risk of prostate cancer! (TheMoreYouKnow.gif, etc)

Isn't No-Nut November generally like a horrible alt-right thing anyway?

Does seem like a weird incel invention. Never really understood the point, especially as jr says it's healthier to keep things flowing.

Pretty sure you're both correct. It's all, "Build up your testosterone! Be a REAL man!" stuff.

Flambards in Cornwall is closing. Pretty sad. Went during that weird semi lock down period and whilst it barely qualified as a theme park as opposed to a mere fun fair I believe it’s a bit of an institution and whilst naff was still a fun day out.

Saw that news too, visited a fair few times as a kid (it is indeed an institution down here in the south west), will always vividly remember the blitz area. Kept meaning to take my kiddo when we moved back down here but never did and now she'll never enjoy the rustic charms of Flambards

It is very shit, so its no real surprise. The only fond memory I have of it is a herd of goats bum rushing the animal corner kissing gate when my wife was trying to get in and finding herself trapped in a very small space with half a dozen of the bastards while holding our daughter up in the air like homer trying to protect bart from the reindeer.

It took them fucking ages to raze and redevelop the American Adventure after it closed so we took a wander around and it was so weird. I went loads of times when I was a kid and it was like walking around 28 days later as an adult.
