Still plenty of goths out there, and apparently the female ones are quite heavily harassed online, was something on Reddit about it a while ago.

Saw a goth the other day, thought they went extinct in the late 2000s. Smashing Pumpkins gigs draw them out. Only after dark though. |

I've never been a proper goth. Had a numetal phase then a punk phase, as part of the punk phase I flirted with goth in a Dave Vanian way, but was more into studded leather jackets and chains.
I did buy some New Rock boots recently though so maybe I'm partially embracing goth as part my mid-life crisis

My 11 year old daughter is going through a Wednesday Addams inspired goth phase. It's ace and totally suits her as she has facial differences, so should lean into it imo.

Poundland/stretcher is worse. You go in there and just feel bad the earth gave up its resources for a shelf of malformed resin gonks with their paint badly applied by a Chinese orphan.
I can’t imagine how they keep going because everything in there is landfill. Just on an environmental level, they are fucking horrendous.
The fake toblerone is nice, though.

It’s not all plastic tat though, there’s also lithium and cobalt and arsenic filled LEDs in some of that stuff, spices up the landfills a bit.

One of the servers had a glorious mullet and Granny Shark would not stop talking about it in a louder than it should have been voice. “Gladys*, please, he can hear you and he’s looking sad now…” *not actual name but in that ballpark |

Mullets are ridiculous and should be shamed at every opportunity.
I was also laughing at some poor mullet-wearer when out in a restaurant with our family this weekend. Obviously, I was more quiete and more polite with my ridiculing of it than your gran though.
It was a criminally unstylish mullet. One of the worst i have seen since the 80's I guess.
