Jambowayoh It happened to a friend one time. Very embarrassing (or so I was told). I mean, I wasn't there at the time. I was out of town that day. I have an alibi, okay?

You also never see a hacker minimise their browser window, only to find that the porn site they visited several hours ago had caused a pop-under window to appear, and now the Brazzers 25%-off deal is visible on their screen for all to witness. Silly sausage - Brazzers is free at the moment!

The Breeders first album, Pod, is 34 years old today, which makes it older than Kim Deal was when she recorded it, so at 62, she might feel be starting to feel old (but still rocking it). Kim might not be good at hacking, but her twin sister Kelley used to have top secret security clearance as a defence contractor so could have gone all Chelsea Manning.

I was listening to Pod earlier today - hadn't realised it was its birthday. It is still great.

I once tried to do that thing in the airport with a couple of TV aerials, I have a tiny scar from the button whacking my cheekbone

Scottish Rowing Championships this weekend. I'm starting to shit myself (figuratively, the chair is safe). Stupidly entered into a masters pair, an intermediate coxless four, a masters coxed four and a novice double. Four races over two days. I've been training like a bastard and still feel no way ready for it. The intermediate coxless four is a 2k event as well. I'm going to be done in after the first pair event, let alone anything else. Oh god. Help.
The boy is racing as well. He's down to one event as he's had whooping cough. He's had to forgo the double but he's still racing in his quad. He only had his first session back training at the weekend and was very worried about it, even though the session went well. But I'm also really worried about his race as well, even though I know he'll be fine. Because he's nervous. I can't even watch him as I'll be on the water the same time.
Need to relax. I'm sure it'll all be fine.

Hope all goes well for you and the lad, Wunty!
The anticipation is often worse than the event itself - just need to keep busy 'til the weekend, then you'll be in the thick of it.

I get so bloody nervous even for the casual rows, let alone training and actual competitions!

No pressure wunty but I'm pretty invested in this. So, you know, Push it to the Extreme and so on.

Rowing!! I caught a crab in every single competitive race I ever raced (about three). Bastard sport.

Yeah my first race last year I caught a crab and launched myself off my seat. Managed to stay in the boat but felt like an absolute tit. To be fair I'd been rowing six weeks at that point.
What did you row in?

I was bow oar in my college's eighth eight, I'm afraid this is an Oxford situation with me doing shit in my first year because it seemed expected. We are talking very many years ago now.

That’s cool though. We were hoping to get an eight together but struggled with everyone’s working hours etc. maybe next time.

For some reason I read it as Wunty was trying to get an eighth together.
