To add to the sadness, it was normally served on milk roll slathered with Flora. Am I the only one that thinks this sounds amazing?

To add to the sadness, it was normally served on milk roll slathered with Flora. Surely slathered in Stork butter? You know what, that was also in the fridge so probably could've been! As well as the ramekin with congealed lard dripping in it.

To add to the sadness, it was normally served on milk roll slathered with Flora. I used to hate the news it was cauliflower and cheese for tea as a child. I was playing on my brother's Amstrad when my dad suddenly popped up and said "try this", then put a spoon of that in my mouth. Learned not to trust people anymore that day

There's an obvious joke there but I can't joke about my own dad molesting me. I just can't

No need for poor taste jokes, poor AuntAlison already got abused as a child with that spoonful of 'cauliflower cheese' foisted upon them.
No wonder they're pished on the back of a milk float.

Cauliflower and cheese has thrown me off a bit I have to say. It just sounds wrong even though I know what you're talking about.
Bit of a weird main, mind you...

Aye, it would have been the main part of tea/dinner.
If we were lucky there might have been some angel delight for pudding or a crumble.
I don't miss the late 70's/early 80's food.
Even after my mental scarring, I don't mind cauliflower cheese now when it's with something or served as vegetable with a roast dinner etc, but as the main meal? No ta.

The wife loves cauliflower cheese, whereas I am of the opinion that it’ll take more than melted cheese to improve the experience of eating cauliflower.
Cauliflower. Let’s face it. It’s bottom tier as vegetables go. I would even go so far as to say it’s the worst vegetable ever. It’s a fucking embarrassment. Actually. I hate it. Sure, I would eat it and even enjoy it, yet at the same time put a hex on whoever served me it. Basically if you served me cauliflower, expect to be hunted for eternity by my malevolent shadow form.
Who, for convenience, I would refer to as hunty.

Quite like cauliflower - it's like a fat brocolli

If it's been cooked badly and not seasoned/garnished then yeah it's grim. But otherwise, load me plate up plz.
Curried cauli, for example, is delish.

Cauliflower cheese just feels like something out of a Roald Dahl novel for its sheer disgustingness. I feel like it was definitely invented by a hateful cunt.

Nothing wrong with a cauli and broc bake, in a nice salted béchamel topped with cheese and bread crumbs. Best way to eat both of those by a long way.
Back in the day you used to be able to get these jars of Kraft cheeze whizz, just pop it in the microwave and pour over delicious, orange processed cheese. That was acceptable too but not sure they still make it.

So this is where the division of the forum properly starts eh. The Non-cauliflowers group (who shall be referred to as "Good Guys") and the Pro-cauliflowers group (who shall be referred to as "Evil Bastards"). Whoever wins we lo - no wait that's not right.
