If you keep talking about Decks like that it'll go to his head.

What a great day. Absolutely beautiful. I finished phase one of my training at work early, so got cut loose a whole hour before i should have been able to go home. I'm starting to think maybe i'm a natural at this. I'm celebrating with a passion fruit martini. I was gonna just drink it straight from the can on the step of the newsagents, but that's the old me, and it's not a manner befitting someone with my new station in life. So out came the martini glasses. I repeat: What a great day. The sun in shining, i have a whole two days off (plus the extra hour), it's an NXT Takeover weekend, i've nearly finished the Paris DLC in Valhalla. I hope everyone else is doing well. Excellent! Glad to hear some good news!

Anyway my neighbour is apparently cutting their holiday short by 2 weeks and will be here again on Tuesday. This is all kinds of awful because 1) I don't get to look after their dog anymore, since their daughter came back earlier today, collected the dog, and promptly fucked off out all night, leaving said dog in a crate all evening and 2) my fucking shouty, door closure disrespecting bastard neighbours will be back 2 weeks early and will only walk their dog about 3 times a week (as opposed to my 3-4 times a day)
It's genuinely quite upsetting, mostly on the dog front. She's a little fluffy white thing with a lot of heart and after going absolutely mental at seeing one of her family, she's been locked up for the night. Great.

You know what, it really was. I'm happy at work because of how well i'm doing with the actual work, as opposed to the fair maidens in the office, for what feels like the first time. The job satisfaction is going to be off the charts when/if i complete the training. So yeah, nothing else to add really. I'm just perfectly happy at this precise moment in time. Did you tell the zoom maiden she was wrong and how to do her job?

Some people just shouldn't own pets, just like some people shouldn't have kids yet they keep popping them out. We've talked numerous times about getting a dog but even though I'm currently home all the time and the OH has a job where she could potentially bring it in, we still haven't passed that threshold of it being the right move. Then some random cunt can just pay a breeder for whatever inbred fashionable pooch they fancy and bring it home to get neglected like that.

"Glamping" in what is essentially a small wooden shack and my son waking up at 2am with what appears to be the noravirus has been a lot of fun. It's raining so I can't even get out of here. I'm just locked in this one bedroom shack. With the smell.

My son just ‘requested’ to watch the super Mario bros movie. He is 4 1/2 and I think I have officially failed as a parent.

He says he feels ok now so not sure it is noravirus. His room is coated in vomit though and the smell of diarrhea has soaked through my skin.

Both of mine had similar vomiting things recently, spent all night chucking up then woke up the next morning fresh like they’d done a fortnite the Priory

We’ve had vomiting as well this morning, but I think it’s tonsillitis or ear infection.
Hope the bomb doesn’t detonate Decks

Did you tell the zoom maiden she was wrong and how to do her job? Not exactly. We talked it out as a group the following day, and because i wasn't under such immediate pressure (she was very defensive at the time and asked me things i had no way of answering) i was able to explain myself a little better and we agreed it was a bit of a misunderstanding. Basically, i thought that a line of questioning we are encouraged to use was insensitive in the very specific fictional scenario we were discussing. The Zoom Maiden thought i was saying that this type of questioning is bad generally, which wasn't the case at all. We agreed to disagree, and she reiterated that we'll all find our own ways of doing things, but to not discount any techniques presented. It was quite nice, because a lot of other people in the class contacted me privately to say that they agreed with me.

You haven't been abroad in 11 years? You must really like the UK. I've never even owned a passport.

Is he able to operate a mop and bucket with reasonable skill? Norovirus is bloody contagious and very hard to get rid of. My family came down with it one after the other when we were on holiday once. I looked after each in turn and then got it myself. 24 hours for each of us. My wife had someone at work start vomiting and they had to be sent home as otherwise they'd have apparently stayed. The next morning, they turned up for work looking like death and again my wife (who isn't the boss) said "either you work from home or I am". Can't understand why people need to be told this sort of stuff.

I live in constant fear of norovirus. I don’t think I’ve felt as ill as I did when I had that. Managing it with kids to look after as well is a fucking nightmare.
