Not even a fan of Alice Cooper but easily one of the best gigs I've been to. Crazy fun show. How old is he now?

Oh sweet, and what a venue for it

Just seen Parquet Courts. Really excellent, both the bands playing and the sound quality.

Support was an up and coming band called Fat Dog and the sound quality wasn’t great but they had an interesting sound and were hilarious with the singer walking amongst the crowd like they were big time and the keyboardist dressed as a sexy nun but looked more like something from American Horror Story.

That is a shame, but I've similar feelings about Brixton Academy as you.

For the Albert Hall last night I think it is the best sounding gig I've seen and as you say, those boys really know how to play their instruments.

Excellent set, plenty of new stuff with some of their better known stuff in the mix. Again, thought sound mix was only average but maybe down to our our position in the back corner.

Could have done with BA's sloped floor though. I was OK but my better half was struggling to see much.

As ever, some twattish crowd chit chat spoilt a couple of the slower moments. Not expecting silence from the crowd but it fucks me off when people are backs to the stage and shouting at each other like maniacs when they could be in Wetherspoons doing it.


Didn't catch much of the support (Fat Dog) but the Siouxsie-like front woman was enjoying it.

Whoever is booking Clutch’s tours is killing it right now. Green Lung supporting in the UK and the US gets Quicksand and Helmet

Wow there's a blast from the past. I had Betty, Meantime and Manic Compression on heavy rotation for a while when I was younger. Didn't know they were still around tbh

RHCP at Old Trafford Cricket in Manchester. Superb but short at about 1.40. I thought they were a lot better than when I saw them on the By The Way tour years and years ago. Keidis has obviously had some tuition in how to look after his voice I'd say.

They played 'Hey' off Stadium Arcadium. Epic. No Under the Bridge but we did get 'I Could Have Lied'. And Donna Summers in one of the jams!

I'm now not so convinced that the venue has inherently bad sound as there was nothing wrong with it at all, having seen the Killers recently there and it being terrible sound.

In fact for a massive arena show I'd even say it was good. We were in a different spot to last time so I do wonder if it was that. However, Chad Smith's kick drum was about half the volume of the Killers and I think that had a lot to do with it.

They're a bit ramshackle as a show, disappearing off stage and leaving big gaps and only addressing the crowd very goofily. I kinda like that though, it's refreshing to see something less polished - and unlike the last few gigs I've seen it's not just like watching people perform the CD - it's more like seeing the Stones or Zep where it's different every time and there's improv going on.

Frusciante looked really happy which was awesome and reflected in his performance.

The support was a bit useless. Thundercat actually sounds really cool but he was on at six and it took us over an hour and a half to get there from a few miles out with the rail strike fuelled traffic, so we had no chance.

Then there was a technical problem with the second support (ASAP Rocky) so RHCP were actually on before him half an hour earlier than scheduled. After all that magnificent band stuff this bloke wanders on rapping (mediocrely) over a backing track as thousands of people leave. I have to say I don't always think Hip Hop translates well live, unless you're Jay Z or Cypress Hill.

Anyway RHCP were approaching a 10/10 there. Age isn't hurting them at all.

I'm confused, the support came on after the headliner?

Local news stories are now rife with comment after comment about how people have had to listen to, I think, three new songs and how it was a disaster because they were missing Can't Stop, Under the Bridge and Scar Tissue. You'd honestly think the entire crowd hated it.

One of my friends goes quite a bit and she always has a great time.

Hella Mega Tour at the London Stadium last night. Had a fucking nightmare getting up there, a 2.25 hour journey was turned into a 4.5 hour journey and as a result missed all of Weezer and half of fallout boy, however what we saw of fallout boy was pretty spot on and managed to catch all of their biggest songs. Green Day were absolutely amazing though, I've seen them live before and whilst being one of my favourite bands, live without a doubt they are the best. They absolutely smash it every time and even if you don't love their music it's still worth going.

Absolutely amazing night only marred by the 8 hour travel time due to the mental traffic

Would love to see Green Day.

Oooof, my partner was there as well but got there early so saw all of it. Apparently Weezer were really great, did Africa and Enter Sandman for covers.

And Fall Out Boy (the band she went to see) did one of their best shows for years, I guess they upped their game playing alongside 2 other big bands.
