Scored Ovlov tickets after they announced Leeds dates. Now I just need to flog my Switch and/or PS4 Pro so I can afford train tickets and a hotel room.

I just secured tickets for AC/DC My mate wants to take her daughter and, just like I told myself last time, this could well be their final tour. We've ended up getting golden circle pitch tickets.

Ah nuts. I forgot about that. 🤦 Ditto. I was quite tempted too as i've never seen them and as alastair says, they won't be able to keep going for ever. Bad enough it's sans Malcolm nowadays. Not a massive fan and I probably prefer the Bon era stuff, but I'll be sad to not have see some rock legends when they go.

Yeah, they are one of the few regular listens that I haven't been lucky enough to see tbh. Others are either dead (Bowie), disbanded (REM, Smiths) or arseholes (Morrissey)

I've seen them three times. The one with Axl Rose on vocals was actually the best! He sounded more like Bon Scott. I've seen all the bands that I would always have wanted to see - GnR (x3), Stone Roses (x2), AC/DC (x3), INXS, U2.

Stone Roses was amazing, almost transcendental. Proper bucket list for me. As was Pearl Jam. Foos were good too but 2nd tier for me. Should have added Nirvana to my earlier list. Would have loved to see INXS too.

Pearl Jam were incredible the night I finally got to see them (Leeds arena 2014). Played until nearly midnight and threw just about everything at the setlist.

Would have loved to see INXS too. The Roses at Finsbury Park in 2013 was one of those "I can't believe this is really happening" moments. Similar to seeing GnR at the old Wembley in 1991.

I think I’ve managed to see almost all of my bucketlist bands.
AC/DC are still on the list (although I have seen Brian Johnson do a charity covers gig with a reformed Geordie)
Pantera are on there too as I feel like I’d owe to my younger self. I had tickets to Wembley show that was cancelled because of 9/11 just before they broke up.
RATM just confirmed they’re finished again so that dream is over.

I’d love to see Alice in Chains too but it feels like they’ve been exclusively an American proposition since reforming.

Was convinved it'd be the O2 again, was going to take the kids up to see them for their first, but getting to the Spurs stadium with kids in tow is too much of a ball ache for me.

Just booked tickets for Jason Isbell in November. Feels like a proper event to me, when a songwriter of that calibre comes over

They don’t seem to be as popular as they used to be post Covid

Happily saw RATM at Leeds festival years and years and years ago. That was either the last or penultimate show before they broke up that time. Lost a show in the pit and had a long walk through four inch deep mud back to the tent. Don’t remember a huge deal of it apart from them being extremely powerful and together, but I do remember they came on to Testify.

Just got a ticket for the Inspiral Carpets playing a tiny venue in Stockport.
I’ll be revisiting my youth again as I watched them loads in local pubs before they were big and I was officially old enough to drink 😊

Was just about to book tickets for Pearl Jam in Manchester in June, until I saw the £160 price tag. What the actual fuck.
That Ticketmaster battle really didn’t work out.

Yeah, I had a look at that. Its fucking insane. Yet another thing only the upper middle class can enjoy.
That said, I am going to see Sunn O for 30 quid soon which isn't bad. Its just all the heritage bands that charge pre-scalped prices.

Yeah.. me and my partner went to see them at Hyde Park in 2022 (cancelled a few years because of COVID). I think we spent about £200-300. I know it was more of a 'festival', but still.. crazy price.

Those Pearl Jam prices are really disappointing. It feels like tickets for big bands are up by a third every year.
