Took 4 or 5 tries, purely because I insisted on cutting his stupid tail for a sword I probably won't even use (not an INT build). I've missed a load of stuff in the archives and the caves, so a bit of cleaning up to do before proceeding.
Forgot how much I like the crystalline armour set - not quite able to cartwheel with it yet, but the crystalline/Xanthous combo I'm wearing looks decent
Edit- it's more of a front-flip actually. Anyway Dark Wood Grain Ring > Havel's ring

Did anyone else pick up the Future Press hardback strategy guides for the Dark Souls series? I've just seen a video on YouTube by MetalJesus about his favourite strategy guides, and he mentioned one of the Dark Souls ones that goes for around $500 these days. Checked my bookshelf to find it sitting there in mint condition 😅 made my day. I bought all of them when they came out, the only one I'm missing is the Bloodborne Old Hunters one and that's about £250 now on eBay 😭 Yay I’ve got two of those Dark Souls ones, I used one and left one in the wrapper  got both Bloodborne ones too - nice one. Didn’t know they were worth money |

I remember the music being pretty good once you get down to the lake as well. Beautiful area, strange that it was so optional, but then again I guess that's a huge part of the game's charm in a lot of respects.
There's obviously a covenant down there as well.

And another shitty Hydra fight It's optional! Easily one of the most annoying parts of the game for me, especially the first time. The number of times I dropped into the water - still do. It's not a boss and they're so annoying to fight, I don't know why it's even there. Seems almost like a boss that didn't work so they just made it a normal enemy. Always end up plinking it with arrows for the last couple of heads as well |

Isn't the Great Hollow also one of the Titanite Chunk farm places? Think there's 5-6 Crystal Lizards in there.
