Those streams are so annoying. Their time seems to be equally split between playing the game and thanking people for money that they really appreciate. It's inredibly tedious to listen to
As for DS, the controller has a whole analogue stick dedicated to the camera; what's the issue?

Controlling the camera via analog stick is far slower and cumbersome than flicking your mouse around. Quick camera control is especially helpful if you have to keep an eye on multiple opponents or check corners for ambushes. I guess it's also a thing you need to get good at, but I'm absolutely garbage with analog stick camera control, so I play all my 3D games on mouse and keyboard

Are you seriously trying to suggest that a glacially paced game like Dark Souls is superior on PC because of mouse camera controls? The number of times I've been faced with a tricky corner and tried looking around it only to get bored waiting and thought fuck it, I'll just chance it and then died
PC gamers can't be content with just playing a game. It has to be the superior version to others

It's not remotely cumbersome if you've been using them for years. That's just your experience as someone who is used to a mouse

Are you seriously trying to suggest that a glacially paced game like Dark Souls is superior on PC because of mouse camera controls No. Don't make shit up. PC gamers can't be content with just playing a game. It has to be the superior version to others That is just your inferiority complex breaking through, might want to get that checked out. It's not remotely cumbersome if you've been using them for years. That's just your experience as someone who is used to a mouse I use both extensively and no, an analog stick does not even compare to mouselook. I played Turok, Zelda and Mario 3d on N64. I played Halo on Xbox at friends houses. I play Dark Souls with gamepad on PC, same with Darksiders, and lots of other games. It can be fun when you get some practice, but it's still sluggish and imprecise. And if you understand the first thing about how both input devices work, it is glaringly obvious why.

Are you seriously trying to suggest that a glacially paced game like Dark Souls is superior on PC because of mouse camera controls No. Don't make shit up. - Then what was your point about me not being a PC gamer in reply to my saying the analogue stick can be used for camera? What were you saying? PC gamers can't be content with just playing a game. It has to be the superior version to others That is just your inferiority complex breaking through, might want to get that checked out. - I'm not the one who brought it up in the first place and I'm not the one getting angry or insulting It's not remotely cumbersome if you've been using them for years. That's just your experience as someone who is used to a mouse I use both extensively and no, an analog stick does not even compare to mouselook. I played Turok, Zelda and Mario 3d on N64. It can be fun when you get some practice, but it's still sluggish and imprecise. And if you understand the first thing about how both input devices work, it is glaringly obvious why. You're making an assumption that I've never played PC games. I used to play Quake 3, Counterstrike and other twitch shooters all the time and played Quake 1 recently. I'm well experienced in PC gaming on a mouse and keyboard The camera doesn't need to be fast or precise for Dark Souls. All you're doing is looking around the environment PC gamers are so weird, honestly. Earlier when I said I couldn't get a PS5 to play Dark Souls, you just randomly said I should get a PC aprpros of nothing. Then when I said no because I wanted to play Bloodborne, you said I can play that on PS Now. Then in a later post when someone said it's a bit shit, you said yeah, it can be and you haven't even personally played it. You didn't care about my requirements or satisfaction, just that I added to your numbers. There's a real problem with fully paid up members of the PCMR in seeing any perspective other than their own
edit: I replied to your other 'points' in the quote

Even if you're just looking around the environment, it feels very limited if you are used to mouselook. I've already told you that I still think it's fine in most games that are made for it, hell, they even managed to get it to work decently for a first person shooter like Halo. Of course, Halo on PC is in every way superior, but that's not the point, I only mention it to annoy you further.
Also, you shouldn't use my personal behaviour to generalize all PC players. I am an open supporter of PC masterrace superiority movement, and yes, we will eventually free every last one of you console plebs from your delusions. If necessary, with VIOLENCE.

Haven't you got some drivers to update or something?
Let's all just play Dark Souls however we want!

I finally went back to Lost Izalith and killed the bed of chaos. Took me about 5 or 6 tries. One try I was 2 meters away from the chaos bug at its heart and somehow got 1-hit killed. Was a bit weird, because so far, nothing the boss did could 1-hit kill me. I'm well trained now in DS black humor, so it actually made me laugh.

It can firestorm you down there and glitch out, so that the spell doesn't appear

Everything about that boss is weirdly misplaced- right down to the slidey slope bit at the start where you can move left and right for no apparent reason. Took me quite a few goes too, kept getting knocked into a hole that only just opened.
I'm currently on the golem glade bit in Dukes Archive, and last time I played I had to quickly save mid-fight to answer the door. So I'm half expecting to load up and find I'm hollow and in need of a corpse run.

Fuck yes! I did Soul of Cinder on my very own, don't care if he's easy or whatever, he was hard to me. Was kinda getting nowhere, just said, OK I´ll do five more runs. 5th run I ember up to see if there's a summon for me (no NPC summons, can't be bothered to look up how to get them) but nope, I'm on my own. I out-dps him, and I'm like YES! and then FUCK! he's respawning??? I somehow managed to kill him again, so very chuffed rn as the credits are rolling.
I've been playing these games (DeS, DS1,2,3 and BB) at breakneck speed for me, I've not finished that many meaty games in such a short time ever. Now I feel like I'm "up to date" and can go back to the ones I liked the most at my leisure, or even DS2 as that's the one I didn't finish.
Phew, what a fucking series of games.

Easiest bed of chaos way is to arrow the left thing, save and quit and return. And then continue.
Hm, actually, that doesn't sound right does it.
Hah, well, in that case, I could ROLL ANOTHER CHARACTER and find out.
Marvellous!

Just before you enter the crystal caves, there's a field with some trees in it where you find the crystal golem with Sieglinde imprisoned in it. That's the place.

torb well done! Have you ventured into the dlc at all? Oh, did you find archdragon peak? Thanks! I pootled around in the Painted World some, pretty neat, hated killing wolves though. I found a boss/miniboss who had wolves on his side - just gave it a few tries before I kept going. Just dipped in and out of the second DLC - it seemed super hard! I know where I need to do the dragon peak, but the way there was muddled in my head-map. I might have a gander over the weekend as well. I'll be traveling for work next two weeks on Monday, and I wonder whatthehell should be my gaming fix in the evenings, I'll only have a MacBook Air and probably a gamepad with me.

My English failed me, "glade" was somehow a blindspot. Today I learned that In the most general sense, a glade or clearing is an open area within a forest.

One of the 2D soulsvanias would be a good pick. Have you tried Salt & Sanctuary?

I've played a good chunk and it felt very good - better than Blasphemous, Deaths Gambit and Tails of Iron. I'll just have to faff about and figure out where my most recent save is, as it sadly doesn't do steam cloud save.

Mmm, I've got it on the Xbox and beat the boss a few times, but not enough to roll credits. Such a hard game, I only could do it with the gloves and Athenas dash blessing.

Was back on my new Bloodborne play through again last night. Finished off Nightmare of Mensis, both Micolash and Wet Nurse, and then headed into the DLC for the very first time (Gehrman & Moon Presense still up, obviously) ... Fuck me, that first area in the Hunter's Nightmare lol
Think this is going to take some perseverance. I'm rocking a +10 Chikage and +10 Evelyn, around level 80, quality build leaning heavily now into finishing off SKL at 50 before boosting BLT (currently 18) etc.
So these Hunters respawn and there's no lamp in the cathedral, until I presume I come back and kill the thing on the altar? Hoping there's a better shortcut than the one gate I've managed to open so far.
