I got a hit for the game via a web search, you just need the right two or three words and it's practically the first hit. I'll recuse myself since I've never seen the game before and had to use help.

Penguin attack
My neighbour also had an MSX, so at least I've seen and had a go on one. Sadly, that's of no use as the only game I remember was a pinball game.

This is awkward. Never seen the game before. Warning do not read spoiler if participating in game. Based on the 2 pictures I figured if I was naming the game I would call it Penguin Adventures . I googled Deez’s answer and subsequently found out my made up name was only 1 letter out. |

I really liked this game, there was nothing else like it then or since really, including its vastly inferior prequel which was a lot more straight forward.

The funny thing is that I thought there was a kind of Parodius vibe to second screenshot and discovering who published the game that feeling was spot on. I guess there must have been an in-house style for sprites or a small number of people did all the sprites across multiple projects.

Well I ended up googling it and I like to think that collectively, we got the right title. I'm sure I've seen all the right words, just not together. I've played it I'm sure.

I think I should give this to PazJohnMitch as he was by far the closest and did come up with one letter off the title with the clues given. (And I had guessed some titles despite having never played the games just from context) So the answer was Penguin Adventure by Konami on the MSX, the sequel to Antarctic Adventure (which was a basic into the screen racing game starring a penguin). The sequel, Penguin Adventure had much more variety with hidden secrets, boss battles, weapons and items etc. And regarding Parodius IIRC it is the same penguin (Penta?). The MSX Konami cartridges were really good for the time as cassette stuff tended to just be Spectrum ports a lot of the time (often still in monochrome too). Over to PazJohnMitch. You don't really need to make an account, it only lets you skip the pre-upload ad if you're logged in.
To embed, just place the URL in squared image brackets.
Err.

Next time, considering uploading to imgur. And err, embedding the image rather than linking it. Don’t have an imgur account and don’t know how to imbed. (On mobile). Download the Imgur app, and don't log in, just click on the camera icon and 'skip' logging in. Once uploaded copy the permalink and go to the URL on your mobile browser than hold on the photo and select open in new window and copy that URL. Then just go to FG, switch browser to desktop mode and the icon for uploading an image appears to copy URL into. And then it should work. Once you have the flow down takes about a minute (assuming you already have your image ready of course). As for the new screen, I don't have a clue this time. Edit - or do it like above  |

It has to be the url to the image itself, not the page that holds the image.
So it should end in a .jpg or .png or .gif or whatever.
