Youthist is a winner! RumMonkey was so close. I mentioned Agatha Christie in my original post and here we have a game putting you in the shoes of the detective in a murder mystery. It's a pretty interesting game that actually uses vectors in places over 2D backgrounds so a pre-cursor of sorts to Alone in the Dark.

Proper adventure game logic in the puzzles? It's less the puzzle logic. The narrative threads are actually pretty good and the theming/concept are really cool. But it frustrates with some annoying pixel hunts and not having a good enough mechanism to handle the fact you have to talk to the same handful of people over and over and over. That being said, we had fun with it. It's not a good game but I kind of love it, if that makes sense. I look forward to the HD remake. |
