Anyone know how to identify the first name part of a Vietnamese name? Alt lease, I think it's Vietnamese.
Name (asterisks to protect identidy):Thi B*** H****
Dear Thi ?
Dear B*** ?
Dear H**** ?
According to Google, Thi is the most common female middle name does that mean that it can't be a first name though. The H**** bit is variously identified as a surname and a first name.

I have to say that "sausage wallet" was not exactly top of the list when I wondered what to start my letter with. I can see some situations where it could be used though.

Can't you ask them? There are not many Vietnamese surnames, mainly Nguyen, Hoang and a few others, so you can probably rule those out. My girlfriend has <name1> <name2> <family name>, and her family calls her <name1> <name2> but she generally goes by <name2>. |

Edit: Based on correspondence I've seen, it's Dear B*** . i.e. <name2>

I think you can safely assume they’ve been replied to in all manner of offensively in accurate ways, as long as you get the spelling and gender right no one can reasonably complain. I deal with clients in the Far East and they often get my name wrong, it’s no big deal. Spelling it wrong when it’s written right in front of you is a sackable offence though

You could just do "Dear 'full name' to be safe...
Not familiar with Vietnam myself, more the East Asian countries.
