Not so famous, but Johnny Irwin from A Place In The Sun has apparently died. He had a brain tumour or some other terminal illness.
My missus is a bit upset. It's been her favourite "feet up, brain off" show for years.

Not so famous, but Johnny Irwin from A Place In The Sun has apparently died. He had a brain tumour or some other terminal illness. My missus is a bit upset. It's been her favourite "feet up, brain off" show for years. It's startling how much he declined, you should put photos of him in 2019 and then 2023 on cigarette packs to terrify children. |

RIP Carl Weathers. Arrested Development was my first thought as well. Also great as Combat Carl in the Toy Story series. When he was on stage at Star Wars Celebration last year, he was clearly having an incredible time, just loving every minute of being there and truly appreciative of the fan response. |

Really sad about Carl Weathers. An icon. I loved it when he showed up in Mando, playing a great character with a lot of verve and conviction. Massive shame.

It probably speaks to how internet poisoned my mind used to be that Carl Weathers still reminds me of all the Kony2012 stuff and how people would troll the ones sharing the Kony posts by repurposing them but with pictures of Karl Weather inserted instead.

Pretty cut up about Carl Weathers.
What's interesting is I think most of us are all ancient and remember him from Predator or Rocky, but I think his death is going to hit home for youngsters who love him in Mando. And I think it's going to be one of those things where, for kids with an interest in film, they'll read articles online about how this actor they love from Star Wars has died, and these articles will mention all his other stuff, and the youngsters might have their interest piqued and want to see what Greef Karga got up to earlier in his career.
Actors can be immortal like that.
