A massive loss to the sex workers of Italy, good riddance from a lot of Italians.

Tbf, based on my knowledge, Bunga Bunga parties do sound fun.
He was a corrupt motherfucker though. How does Italy generally fare with their leaders?

www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-65886521Well, bugger. Treat Williams, 71. Made some great films (I'm going to mention The Eagle Has Landed as a favourite as the article doesn't), died on a motorbike in his 70s. Well done dude, RIP.

Cormac McCarthy has apparently passed away. 89.
The Road is obviously a famous one, but Blood Meridian is genuinely one of the most disturbing/brutal novels I've ever read. An absolute classic.

I loved The Road and The Border Trilogy. Blood Meridian is incredible, too. Probably time for a re-read.

Geefe you think parties involving underage sex workers sound like fun? I wonder if Jim can fix that for you..

An astonishing life and career. Which you can only have if you have talent like what she had got. RIP.

Gordon McQueen, ex-Man Utd and Leeds defender. Almost ruined the day in 1979.

Saw him play dozens of times in my early years, not a world beater by any means, but the slow majestic jog back after scoring one of his rare headers was always good to watch. Dementia recently I believe, from those very headers sadly. A nice bloke by all accounts, his niece once wrote a very nice letter to Viz about him RIP big Gordon

An extremely accomplished actor and very good in Parliament too, her biggest failing was obviously spawning a complete fuckwit in the case of Dan Hodges.

To be fair, he looks and sounds like he was dropped on his head as a child.

Whenever this thread gets bumped, I feel like suggesting it should be renamed to "Oh fuck, who is it now?" and then I realise the same could equally be applied to the "Celebrity Paedogeddon" one.

Gordon McQueen :-( My first memories as a united fan are of him, Gary Bailly, Marcari, Mcilroy etc.
His quote when he left that successful 1970s Leeds team to join a bang average United team was a classic:
"Ask all the players in the country which club they would like to play for and 99% would say 'Manchester United'. The other 1% are liars"

Just read about the passing of John Romita Sr. today. Ahh damn. To this day, he’s my favorite Spider-Man artist. I liked JRJR also, but he just didn’t capture that clean style his pops did. RIP, legend.

I had a reprint of "The Night Gwen Stacy Died" in one of those annuals you'd get for Christmas/New Year as a kid. That one always stuck with me, both the dark tone of the story and the quality of the art.

He'll always be the guy from Warlock for me. Must get around to watching that again...
Must've been awful for his family to not have any closure until now. RIP.

The last thing I saw him in was the martial arts movie Blood & Bone with Michael Jai White.
Good film, and was great in it

One of my cousins must have had that same annual, because I remember finding and reading at my grandparents' house one day. It was literally the first Spider-Man comic I ever read.

Alan Arkin. 89. Good age.
Watch City Island for his Old Acting Coach Hates Brando bit.

Sad news, though a good age and a good life. An understated performance in the greatest cast ever in Glengarry Glenn Ross.
