David Crosby, of the Byrds, CSNY etc. 81. Sad news. Still listen to early CSNY. He was 81. Can't help but think that if the 60's didn't kill you by 27, it somehow pickled you. RIP. My fault, I looked at his Wikipedia last week and thought '81!? he lived hard so that's pretty good.' Yeah, my understanding is that he drunk about 50% of the globe under the table, so 81 is a major achievement. Still, the man wrote 8 Miles High and some others and was in some bands that were a huge early influence for me (thanks, Dad!) so sad nonetheless. |

This year continues to be a gigantic douchebag: Tom Verlaine has died.
What a kick in the balls - he was a superb guitarist, and all three Television albums are well worth hearing (especially Marquee Moon, as obvious as that is).

Thanks everyone. Not really got my head around it, just keeping busy....
My Dad also lost a leg last year, so now he's on his own with that.
Less than 2 years ago they were away on holiday all the time, they've just got old very quickly!

My folks, well my mum really, have aged rapidly overnight.
