BT Sport showing their respects by playing the same adverts over and over at half time. Touch of class.

Something about the way this BBC presenter is delivering every word makes me want to slap him.

The most tragic thing is she had to spend some of her final hours in the presence of those two Tory cunts

RIP Queen.
At least you don't get to see all the edgelord replies and hot takes swamping social media now. Not that you would have seen them anyway but it's like all the unfunniest people of all classes, walks of life and political opinions have wheeled out their best worst jokes and hot takes.
Bye, Lizzie. You're off to see Phil, i'm off to play video games for a few months until this garbage ebbs slightly.

In her whole life. She might have looked up what an edgelord is though.

Ironically that could be considered quite the hot take in itself.

Not every critical, blase, or sardonic response is of the 'edgelord' variety, just as not every expression of sadness and grief is a feigned display of mawkish sentimentality. (Of course, there are plenty of examples of both to be found, but this *is* the internet about which we're talking.)

Everyone on my work WhatsApp very sad. Someone made a comment about her resting after a long service with Philip and I was so tempted.

I'm not sure what's more cringe, edge lord stuff or the use of Lizzie and Phil like it's your gran and grandad.

I’m on the WhatsApp of the executive committee of my son’s scout group, and they’ve been suspiciously quiet this whole time. I’d have thought they’d be planning tributes and flag shenanigans and all sorts.

My WhatsApp group of ex colleagues is an odd mix of obvious and rubbish edgy stuff, some darkish humour, some genuine grief and a lot of "failed oaths". Meh. I can't really be bothered to participate.
An old lady has died and it's a shame for her family. Whatever I might personally think of them, I wouldn't wish this grief on anyone.

I'm waiting for people at work to either complain that the funeral is on their day off so they don't get an extra day off(if they do indeed close everything). Or they will claim they 'need' the day off to watch the funeral and expect to get it paid.

Sunday, September 18
Day of the funeral at Westminster Abbey will be marked by a Day of National Mourning and shops will be closed.
At midday there will be two minutes of silence before the Queen's coffin is taken to Windsor Castle.
So yeah some my guys are going to blatantly bitch about it being a Sunday so no day off work.

Quote from my youngest's teacher tonight on ClassDojo (a kind of WhatsApp only between teachers and parents):
"Evening everyone. Posting with a very heavy heart tonight with the news of the Queen. We will lead an assembly in the morning for the children, and will be on hand if any of them need a bit of TLC xx"
Fuck sake frankly I quite liked ol Lizzie but my boy could not give two shits and pretty much said as much this evening.
The world's gone mad I tell thee!
