I love the whole week, it’s my favourite tournament in golf, even greater than the Open and the Ryder Cup
Although I doubt he’ll win I’ve put £40 on Tiger Woods at 60/1. He’s the greatest player ever to pick up a club, knows every blade of grass on Augusta and is looking good in practice. If he doesn’t start I’ll get my money back
Also got £10 on Scheffler, who clearly does have a chance. The other one I fancy is Justin Thomas, he’s no real form to speak of but he’s too good not to win another Major. However when I checked the odds he was only 12/1 so didn’t bet. If he has an average first round I’ll bet on him then

I've put some on Tony Finau to win and finish top 10 - got a good record here, and in some decent form. Also put a bit on Koepka who is starting to get back to his best golf. Otherwise will wait until the end of the first round to back some more. Except for my traditional Freddie bet of course - £2 @60s for a top 10 finish  |

If Tiger was to win (which I consider to be practically an impossibility) then I will run down my high street naked. And I would enjoy it because to see him win another would be incredible. His previous win was a sporting highlight of my life.
