So are we just starting random threads (never to return to them) with artists names in the titles now...ok then.

I went on holiday with him once when I was a teenager, except I didn’t realise who he was until the very end of the trip. He was very nice, I was talking to him about music and stuff a few times thinking to myself what’s the old duffer on about, what does he know. Then I overheard him talking on the phone introducing himself at Peter Gabriel and the penny dropped

Yeah why did you go on holiday with him? Especially when you didn't even know his name.

I'm trying to cut down on paedophile jokes so I've got nothing to say But if I did, I'd say "He just turned up with Jim"

I once worked at a Kibbutz with Phil Collins, though I didn't realise it for most of the time I was there. The penny only dropped at the end when I overhead him talking on the phone and I heard him say "you want a fucking monkey to play my drum bit in an advert?"

I’ll never forget my childhood trip to the Isle of Wight with Shakin’ Stevens. The whole time, we could hear an old piano playing but we never found where it was coming from.
Happy days.

If you tune your bass to drop D, you can play sledgehammer dead easy. It's a groovy bass line

I assumed he took a teenage you on an all expense paid holiday. Obviously. It was a big family/friends group going to a safari park in SA about 20 years ago, no one introduced him to me as Peter Gabriel, just some dude called Peter and his young Irish wife

Was he wearing a velour smoking jacket, sat on his own in a dimly lit room when they introduced you and left you with him?

I once sat on Victoria Wood's garden wall whilst my granny had a chat with her. I'd no idea who she was at the time. I was twenty seven.

If I could sing Sledgehammer would be my go to karaoke song It has very filthy sounding lyrics... and Nick Park animated part of the video. I don't think those facts are related.
