I have a small container (proper type) in the garage for my petrol strimmer / mower.
Definitely wouldn't want to try and store a lot though.

This is such a minor thing but our microwave has a digital clock rather than a dial. Without fail my wife will open it before it finishes and leave seconds on the countdown. I find myself having to push cancel to set it back to the clock whenever I see it.

oh those fucking beeps. Bosch are the worst. Quality design and manufacture throughout, right until they got a bulk load of the cheapest nastiest beepers from some random ebayer and put them in absolutely everything. The kettle - does it switch off with a clunk, a whistle, even a harmonious tone? Nah, BEEEEP. At volume. The washing machine is worse still, "I've finished washing your clothes, BEEEEP", 30 seconds later "you've still not acknowledged me, BEEEP", 30 seconds later "I'm still here you know, BEEEEP", 30 seconds later "you need to come switch me off, BEEEEP", 30 seconds later "no I can't do it myself, I can only BEEEP" - it'll do this till the end of time, or at least all through the night if you thought to put some washing on before you go to bed, or all through the day if you did so before heading out.

I weirdly liked the Samsung washing machines a couple of places I've lived in had, the excessively long tune made me smile.
I rarely get woken up by alarm these days, unless it's super-unusually early for some reason I tend to wake up before the alarm goes off.

We have a new Bosch dishwasher and it doesn't make a sound at all.
No satisfying beeps when you push a button and no beeps or jingles when it's finished. Plus it's pretty silent when its running.
Be careful what you wish for because as Joni Mitchell say's "They paved paradise and put up a parking lot".

Our washing machine and tumble dryer are both Samsung and what's interesting is that they both play that little jingle from Schubert's The Trout, but play a different flourish of notes at the end. With time, a learned ear can tell whether the washing or drying is done by that last few notes  (I spend too much time in the house) |

Our Bosch washer and drier just make beeps when they finish. The Miele dishwasher plays a jingle every 20 seconds for several minutes though. I wish it wouldn't.
