I'm pretty close to getting the platinum for SOULCALIBUR Ⅵ, damn trophies tied to online [earned it yesterday, my cousin helped me with the couple of character-specific trophies and, well, we took care of online trophies on his end, too]. Well, got around 57 plats between PS3 and PS4, honourable mentions and comments:
- Resident Evil HD Remaster. Best entry among the classics;
- Nioh. This little masterpiece kept me busy for a lot of time, one of the few plats (and later 100% with DLC) that I really enjoyed getting;
- Bloodborne. I've got babysat in my first playthrough, but I eventually became a better player than the guy, earned the platinum before him and also %100 completed the DLC Solo — which the gaming partner had been stuck on for years. The padawan surpassed the master and all that jam;
- Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. I hate this thing, I'm a fan of the franchise, but I hate this pile of trash for more than one reason. To be somewhat on-topic: imagine achieving 100% completion (all ranks earned, iPod tracks… everything done) and having to do it all a second time, once the trophy update got released… all because Kojima & co. couldn't be bothered to make the saves compatible with trophies;
- Both Devil May Cry and Metal Gear Solid HD Collections. Pleased to see I still had skills years after;
- Zombie Army 4: Dead War. I had a blast playing this game with my cousin, but boy, I wished it kept track of which chapters/missions have been cleared with a full team of players, I almost gave up on it. As a side note, I and my cousin have also cleared the campaign on Nightmare mode, but that trophy is bugged and we didn't get it.
- FINAL FANTASY Ⅶ REMAKE. This platinum was earned thanks to the power of music. I'm serious, what kept me playing this thing were the awesome arrangements of beloved tracks; didn't really enjoy the changes (the less said about the ending, the better).

Am shit. Sigh.

I have a handful of platinums: Skyrim Far Cry 4 Hitman 3 Monster Hunter World (by far the grindiest!!) Horizon Zero Dawn And I think my son earned one for Rocket League while playing on my account.
Some games have outrageously tough/tedious requirements. I guess it's a measure of one's love for a game if you can be bothered. MH:W I could, most others I can't!

For me, it's always moving onto the next thing, platinums really require you to work, but it's not worth grinding them, unless you really like a game. Personally, grinding out platinums takes the joy out of games.

Depends firmly on the game. I had a lot of fun with almost all of the platinums I have, any not-fun ones were got because there were so few trophies missing and I enjoyed the game enough to wade through the less fun part.
One notable plat I’m missing is for YsVIII which wants me to get through the entire game, including all side missions, again on hard (or even harder). Maybe I’ll do it in some years, but that’s just vile.

I have 11 but most of them are from playing lego games with the eldest and a few Telltale games.
Lego Dimensions was a good one but cost approximately £4,387 to complete.

I got around to finishing the Telltale Batman game for a nice easy Platinum. Next up - working through Hades. Simple platinum in principle, but I suspect it will take me a while.

Only got the 9 Plats and one of them is a duplicate from going PS4 to PS5 with the same game.
Horizon Zero Dawn (my very first) Ghost of Tsushima (x2) Marvel's Spider-Man Days Gone Astro's Playroom Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Wreckfest (PS4) loading the PS4 save into the PS5 version means events you've completed that give you trophies won't pop, what a swizz! Tales from the Borderlands, Telltale games are a bit cheaty as you just need to finish the game, reminds me of the first 1000 points game I got on 360, King Kong, finish the game and it's all achievements done.

Just the 4 for me, but I don't intentionally go for them (excuses excuses):
God of Wah Horizon Zero Dawn Final Fantasy 15 Tails from the Borderlands
Embarrassingly I've just noticed I'm 1 trophy shy of the platinum on Anthem. Absolutely no excuse for that.

Finally got the Platinum for Deathloop today.
Not sure what to make of it. Really clever in places and the abilities you get are great, but then it just became a bit of a slog.
Was hoping for something to challenge Returnal for goty, but that is still miles ahead of anything else I have played this year.

My (personal) hardest plat was Uncharted 4, I found all including the multiplayer ones easy enough but the crushing playthrough caused me to throw in the towel for a full 18 months because I could not for the life of me complete the start of chapter 20 (start of the pirate boat wrecks area). Chapter 19 (cramped underground tunnels) almost killed me too. Eventually I realised I just didn't have enough ammo from my continuous playthrough so had to load the chapter start to have a chance.
Have a few others, Spiderman which was fine, and HZD which was fine except for the hunting ground (?) trials where you have to kill X enemies using a certain weapon in a time limit.
Haven't got Goats of Sashimi yet but if it's in a similar vein to HZD and I enjoy it as much, I might go for it.

I got stuck on the mansion hallway fight in UC4 for months until I found out cheats are fair game for the trophy…

Was a well needed break from trying to plat Kena as Master Difficulty on that is a bastard...

Expert is already a cnut, I can’t see myself doing Master. But I read there was/is? a glitch that unlocks the trophy if you do some stuff, presumably many of the people who got it did it this way?

Knew I'd try and platinum it so I just played through first on normal/easy to make the collectibles and other trophies as enjoyable as possible. That glitch was patched out in September so I reckon a lot of people with the plat up until then used it.

Ah, so most likely no platinum for me. Expert really wore my patience thin, doing that again but harder is not something I’ll be doing. Then again, in a couple of years…

Checked out our friend's son's trophy list tonight. Fffuuuck. He has some difficulties and gaming is his one true passion, but he is level 534 and holds 180ish platinums. Quite an achievement.

Yeah, I ended up with someone I don’t know on my friend list. But I used to enjoy watching his trophy list, he always got the platinum in every game he owned. He had a similar number of platinums, then one day he just stopped. He’s got one game in progress without the platinum

Got the Platinum for Sherlock Holmes Chapter One over the weekend. Lucky too, as while a bunch of them are missable (choice related), one in particular requires you to say "not now" when offered a case, only to then talk to the quest giver and accept. That was kind of cheaply designed, I thought. The others were fine.
I don't have many Platinums overall. 8 maybe? Between 6 and 10 for sure, and two of those are cheap Telltale Batman Plats where all you need to do is see the games to completion.

Didn't realise we had a plats thread. I'll add my Demon's Souls plat in here then.
That gives me a whopping, erm, 7 platinums.
Demon's Souls Dark Souls Dark Souls 2 Dark Souls 3 Bloodborne Terminator Resistance (because it really was a piece of piss) Control

I think I've got up to 10 now, the last one being for Control (PS4) which I purposefully chased the last couple of trophies. I'll usually just play through a game and if there aren't too many trophies remaining will try and hunt them down. If they seem too tedious or just not fun then I usually won't bother.
I have been one trophy away from the Heavy Rain platinum for years, but it's the trophy that requires a very specific run-through and I just could not be bothered with that, and I think I'm just a couple away from the God of War one but I could not beat the Valkyrie queen then and now I'll have no chance as I can't remember any of the moves/skills etc so would just get slaughtered now.

I went back a few weeks ago to finish off the Valkyries after not playing since I finished the main game on launch, and I got through them all (queen included) without too much trouble on normal or whatever the equivalent is. More important finding and equipping a few moves you're comfortable being able to land than it is having mad skillz at the game. I pretty much just button mashed between recharges and got most of them down in 1 or 2 attempts.
