You think it's bad now, wait until we've had a couple of decades of climate shocks. So in about 15 years' time. Ironic that human instinct is going to make humans extinct. It's like ten thousand fucks, when all you need is someone nice.

They really are just The Millionaire BNP now. 'Multiculturalism has failed' she says in her position as one of the four most powerful cabinet ministers with a Hindu boss.

It is like she's got Ant and Dec in her ear. How she has the gall to even say that is beyond me. She must just look in the mirror and see Sarah Palin.

I’m sticking by my theory. They’ve realised that far too much of the country is buggered up, so they’re deliberately trying to lose the next election.

It's not just the election they're on course to lose though, business is basically as sick of them as the rest of the country, donors are giving up on them too unless they're the really dodgy fucks getting under the table government contracts.

On that front, I’m not exactly thrilled with all the ‘millionaire scumbag donor throws in with labour’ goings on, either.

Donors are just mood music. When they're jumping ship you know the party is fucked.

remember we're in the bad timeline. getting all nostradamus I'm betting they're not going to call general election in may but rather let the london mayoral election run with their batshit racist candidate precisely to gauge how successful that playbook is. "Very" will be the answer (albeit not quite enough to win london)
Autumn 2024 will see Trump win in the US. In the UK the tories run their mad far right campaign, will lose, but only give Labour a ~20 seat majority. Rishi Sunak will resign and fuck off entirely to California never to be seen again. Penny Mordaunt becomes Tory leader because she's got a sword or something (Suella will run for leader but not get it. You know why). With the full support of the rightwing press, the Tories go Full Metal Trump. Relentless batshittery from the press, the tories, and the occasional Corbyn straggler, brings down Labour government after three years. Tories win, we all lose.

Fortunately we're in a timeline where Trump winning shouldn't happen and the UK stuff is just as unlikely.
In case of a Trump win, the United States of America effectively ends (unless someone quickly offs him) which would push the UK so far back to Europe it would be a tiny silver lining as their country falls apart and they pull out of NATO.

The Tories are not winning. Sunak is fundamentally bad at politics. It won't even be a squeaky election. They'll make Braverman or someone else totally insane leader and it'll be like Iain Duncan Smith all over again. Appealling to racist 70 year old cunts can't last they're literally dying.
The problem is Rachel Reeves saying no changes to wealth taxes. It's just unacknowledged decline.

I actually think Trump is going to win it. Populism seems to be the new normal and the only reason he lost last time was because of the (lack of) Covid response. Voters have short memories.

These people have such a limited view of the world, as in they think the UK *is* the world.
38% hosted in five countries Türkiye 3.6 million Islamic Republic of Iran 3.4 million Colombia 2.5 million Germany 2.1 million Pakistan 1.7 million
UK was #21 in the world in 2022 with 328,989 (and #59 for refugees per population, but that data is older)
76% hosted in low- and middle-income countries 70% hosted in neighbouring countries
Also worth noting that about 68% come from just 5 countries, so maybe it'd be much more cost effective to sort out those countries.
PS/ Any reasonable rewriting of the UN refugee rules would surely need to be designed to spread the load around more evenly and fairly, which would almost certainly involve the UK getting more than we do now.

I don't have a great deal of time for his style, but Jonathan Pie's latest vid saying "for over a decade we have lived in an economy, not a society" was extremely accurate.

I don't know who that is but that's a stupid thing to say. The economy is part of a society. It isn't something separate or evil. What he probably means is a shit economy in a crumbling Society.

Given we’ve contributed/caused/enabled many of the issues the people are fleeing from, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to let a few refugees stay.

He's a satirical character played by a comedian. Imagine a GBNews commentator with a sensible point to make (generally).
It's not too be taken at face value, and he means that for over a decade or politicians have prioritised the "economy" over people. The video also features a line along the lines of "The numbers are good! Oh, the people? Well the people are homeless, but the numbers are good!"
