Even if she did, she'd get it wrong.

Considering how the answer is always to cut benefits and public spending, it's weird that the government hasn't done so over the past 13+ years.

Yeah, but they need to fund those with something. And after 13 years of Conservative rule and austerity there is just so much fat to trim from benefits and public services. I mean, people have been talking a lot recently about how overfunded schools and the NHS are.

It's always the pork markets with her, isn't it? She looked so proud of it too, like a toddler shitting in the toilet for the first time. "I did it ma, look at me!"

But these "Free Market" Tories like Truss and the ERG want to cut corporation tax, inheritance tax, high earners taxes and so on and so on and where's that going to come from? Not from their mates or their profits.
There's a reason Truss' mantra (well, the Institute for Government conservative think tank) is to slash public spending, raise retirement ages and particularly, cut benefits...

Tbf, IfG isn't a right leaning think tank...that's the IEA. IfG is a credible organisation that covers some good ground on politics, Westminster and the Civil Service, although they have lost some of that by platforming Truss today.

It's bizarre anyone would think of putting her on a platform, she's clearly fucking mental.

Yes, apologies - I've mixed them up with her Tufton Street masters.
Nevertheless, writ large upon the IfG site at the minute is:
"The former prime minister set out her vision for how the government could enable the UK to achieve faster economic growth."
They seem to have missed out the word "failed" between "her" and "vision" and the words "but didn't" at the end.

So her 'solution' to making Britain great again is that I should work harder, longer and poorer, and any medical issues accrued due to that effort should just go unsupported?
Can someone tell me what exactly has she's been doing since cashing out her payoff for being so shit at her job she didn't last as long as a probation period?
I swear there should be a rule that any time one of these fragmented populist tory wankstains speaks in public, someone has to scream a long 'Fuck off' through a megaphone positioned directly in front of their face, until they get the message and shuffle off to the 'I'm a prick celebrity...' jungle where they belong, with all the other spider anuses and locust ball-bags.

Is the tldr: severe lack of funding and systemic racism and misogyny?

Is the tldr: severe lack of funding and systemic racism and misogyny? (I will read it when I've got 5 mins) Those are in it but there's a bunch of stuff going wrong. The Met reporting to the Home Secretary and Mayor of London, lack of training for various things like mental health care, the training structure being inappropriate as it's not multi-disciplinary enough, the attempt to get back the 20,000 officers lost meaning they cut shortcuts in hiring. It's quite long and extensive to the point of suggesting a re-think of the main principles.

How safe is truss’s seat? Would love to see her ousted as an mp. 26,000 majority. It would be difficult but not impossible. It’s the 57th most safe Tory seat

Everyone else should just drop it and let 1 person who's not a cunt stand against her. Whichever party they may be in.

Though interesting and mostly fair, there's nothing new in that article that police and other groups haven't been saying for years. Lots of talk of the need for reform with little idea of what that actually means.

She's going to be the face of "your mortgage went up a grand a month" to a lot more people by the time the voting starts. Easiest attack line ever.
No mortgage? "Your pension fund lost 25% of its value in 48 hours because of her pork markets economics"
