The stuff Labour is supposedly pledging at the moment is all just noise to me. I don't really know how Starmer intends to govern and I'm not convinced he even knows himself yet. Stories like the Rachel Reeves one seem to be about not upsetting potential swing voters miles ahead of the GE rather than actual policymaking. PR control basically. Until the Labour manifesto is released, I wouldn't be surprised if there are U-turns with any of these 'pledges'.

Rishi Sunak faces fresh conflict of interest row over India trade talks
We need general election now, 2 unelected PM - one that was complete idiot and Fishi is corrupt as fuck, just being PM to make his wife and inlaws a lot of money

Largely I agree, just wait and see the manifesto, but if they do change tack, it's a tap in for the Tories.

The thing is that I don’t think it’s as much corrupt as completely unavoidable. She’s a billionaire and what do billionaires do? They invest their wealth in stuff that will generate even more wealth. And then they use the wealth created from that to buy more wealth. It was absolutely inevitable that, at some point, a billionaire was going to have their fingers in the pie of something that received government funding and was naive/insane to think otherwise. I don’t think they are deliberately enriching her but doing so as an unavoidable consequence of her being obscenely rich and him being an arrogant fuckhead.

Well, there is pattern with Fishi, "forgetting about his wife taxes or what ever" then the recent BP oil - which his inlaws will be making money off. This is why a millionaire is PM

Michael Spicer didn't really need to say anything, Nads is just talking gibberish (not a big surprise).

We’ve got a whole year of this to come. Doomed Tories passing shitty legislation to make life easier for their donors Ministers propose scrapping pollution rules to build more homes www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-66642878

Who knew when they said Brexit would mean we could have stronger environmental protections they were lying.

When they said environmental protections they obviously meant to protect us from the environment by destroying it, there's allergenics and wild animals and such in there don't you know. There's no lie, it's not their fault you misunderstood

It's astonishing for such a key Defra stakeholder to come out like this. Won't change much of course but good to see such a public stance (as bold/risky as that is -expect to see lots of stories about CEO pay etc and the like)

"Green and Pleasant" is a horrible phrase (if you use reddit)
The Tory filth has really turned London into a crime ridden hell hole (I was last in the UK in early 2014) and it was not this bad. So glad I didn't move back to London. Thanks to tory scum cutting back on so much to feed their pockets and their friends, the lack of police leads to phones getting stolen coming out of tube stations, drill music cunts with machete and crack head scum with angle grinder nicking bikes in broad day light https://www.reddit.com/r/londoncycling/comments/165mqdl/another_bicycle_theft_wapping/
IF only there was a way of putting some kind law officer on the street walking about to stop this? crazy I know. Sure the tories will blame the next PM for all of these crimes from 2024 and before.
My idea would be a law officer that could give sentences straight away to criminals, like he is Judge... with some kind of tool to give the Law

I suppose it's a better pick than bringing back disgraced former defence secretary Liam Fox, that the Telegraph was pushing, but it shows how threadbare the Tory benches are of talent.

Don't the Conservatives have like 300 MPs? How come they just keep recycling the same 8 morons? Do none of the backbenchers want to move up?
