I think/hope people who arent carefully selected to be on TV realise that doctors should, in fact, be paid more than a plumber. Or even someone who works at costa. I feel like, if they did realise that (and various other things you'd think would be obvious, especially in the US), they wouldn't regularly vote for the cunts that push for the opposite... "Common" sense is no longer common, etc

I'd see this out if I was a doctor. Also as a taxpayer it's pretty obvious if we don't pay more we are going to have increasing issues recruiting (/keeping) doctors and experience in NHS. The situation is already dire.
Taxes need to go up.

Saw some stats saying the junior doctor strike alone has cost £1bn. Just pay up FFS.

Its the same as the train drivers situation. So and so earns this and so and so earns that. I dont care, everyone is paid too little and the people at the top are paid too much. Be angry at them not some arbitrary job category you dont think is worth the money.
Junior Doctors quite clearly earn too little. Not when compared to a banker, a baker or a candlestick maker but just simply they dont get paid enough.
Fwiw, its the same with teachers. I fully support any strike action because we should have the best people teaching kids in the best conditions lest we generate another generation of absolute fucking morons.

Well said. I mean, it's blindingly obvious but still, it does need saying and repeating often.

Its what you get when your entire strategy is being seen as the tough guys. It means there is absolutely no room for learning, growth or reflection and they will remain shallow bullies, stumbling around in their own shit.

And, really, thats all they have. It genuinely makes my skin itch to have to live under this shambling corpse of a government, waiting for them to deign an election upon us. *everyone* knows they are out of talent and out of ideas and they arent really governing anymore, just embarking on a self-destructive enrichment strategy. Just fuck off.

The best bit will be when the Tories will be in opposition gaslighting the nation about how they would make things better.

This is my point. They are already acting like it and blaming labour for everything. Even in interviews they have accepted they will be in opposition soon. Just rip the plaster off, ffs.

On a side note, I cut my hand open and had to go to hospital last week for stitches. Everyone I dealt with was nothing less than amazing. We should be *treasuring* this great institution. Fucking 'patriots'.

Any experience I've ever had with that NHS (and it's quite a lot over the years, but especially emergency care) has been overwhelmingly positive. Even the cases where I think they could have done better, the people were amazing.

From the inside, they are absolutely out of ideas. It's very similar to 2009/10 when Labour had run out of ideas and money. Very little new is happening and there's no movement as everyone sits tight until we see how the cards will fall.

As with many things people do not appreciate what they have until it's gone. It's still an amazing feat to convince people that £14/HR as a doctor is anywhere near acceptable.

No I'd rather not thank you very much. I don't want to be continually reminded that the man who has continually beat me at SF6, and comfortably, is hosting very important Cobra meetings and getting as many free biscuits as he likes at No.10

My dad had a disc removed from his back as it needed to be removed or it would get lot worse. the NHS were amazing despite the challenges from the tory scum with lack of funding etc. Sadly there is thickos out there that will need the NHS when they got older that will fully support the tories killing the NHS off. You saw morons voting for brexit when they leave in the EU! I've seen first hand the vile USA private health care system, its only good if you are rich/well off. Anyone poor is seen as "parasite" if you are ill
Saw news article that Fishy sunak is taking private jets and helicopters everywhere but that cunt will slash every budget from police, NHS etc

Most of the people on the Bibby Stockholm came to the UK on planes but it'll stop the boats.
Performative bullshit from this government as usual.

Like all matters it's complex but has been split into torpedo boats or scrap migration control.
The answer is surprisingly obvious.
Only torpedo HALF. Ideally the murderers and rapey terrorist types. Let the boffins work out the "how" we need to get Brexit done!

I didn't hear what Patricia actually said, but I did hear the bit a little after that where they read out some texts saying "Patricia is right" etc, to which she responded, "see, people don't want to say it, but everyone agrees with me" (even if everyone = 2 texters to Radio 5 that they selected).
We really do have totally vile people in this country. I can only hope that they are a very vocal minority.

Its amazing how expensive and inefficient all these strongman policies turn out to be. Looks like just not being an arsehole is actually the fiscally conservative option. Who knew?
