If I was a member I'd be asking for a 'None of the above' option on the voting form.

It’s worked so many other times though, she assumed it just would again.

Indeed. No-one is going to care what he or even the next leader of the Tories says for 3 years minimum. The general public just disengage from politics until near an election.

Damn those pesky BBC editorial standards, eh Laura?
Just take the cushy GB News gig - at least then, you won't even have to feign impartiality when interviewing your Tory mates!

Would Marshall bung her £600k a year? Which is frankly a baffling amount of money for the work she does.

Not sure why BBC were letting him on just to do an advert for his new book anyway, a book I assume would fit more comfortably in the fiction section than the non-fiction section it is going to end up in.

Who gives a fuck what a disgraced former pm thinks anyway. You can’t turn on the TV without seeing Truss gurning back at you so it’s kind of inevitable this bin fire would still be in the public eye, especially since most tories consider him ‘the one that got away’ and are persisting with the lie that he was fired for eating cake.

"What shall we watch tonight?" "How about this interview with the corrupt and useless Johnson from his number 1 fan Laura K. so he can try and sell his full of bollocks book like invading the Netherlands during COVID and other complete horse shit?" "Oh no she accidentally sent him the questions so it's cancelled."

I did laugh at that story about the invading Holland bit. Yep, people in the military definitely discussed this with you as a serious matter. Definitely.

Its his 'nuking the hurricane' moment. It will say 'we discussed' in a biography but really its just a stupid idea floated by a moron that forces everyone in the room to say

Enjoying the Tories flipping out about the government returning ownership of the Chagos Islands to Mauritius and saying it weakens the UK's military position, ignoring the fact that the agreement allows the UK to continue using the (US) base there for 99 years. To cap it off, it was an agreement that the Tory government was working on and is just this government that has finalised it!
Looking forward to the outrage when the Marbles go back and the Tories start justifying theft.

That's a very good point - she probably wouldn't be able to steal the kind of living to which she's accustomed on a GB News salary.
Back to using her regular BBC News column to bash Starmer, until the next chance to kiss Boris' ample posterior rolls around.
