A Rwandan Refund sounds like a sex act a mate would try to convince you of in school.

Itās when you wank in front of a mirror and say āBraverman, Braverman, Bravermanā just as you reach the vinegar strokes

Telegraph is reporting that the Rwanda plan is dead, which shouldn't be a shock to anyone. Starting as they mean to go on, itās a stupid bullshit article written by and for idiots. Labour literally pledged to scrap it in the campaign and the telegraph have somehow managed to get 200 words from a made up insider saying āitās effectively deadā. Labour havenāt actually done or said anything about it today. They really are just The Sun printed on paper big enough to line the bottom of a rabbit hutch

So I see Question Time is the Ben Habib Special tonight.
Its been like heās been chairing the show for most of the episode. I can think of few things that drain my optimism or my love and interest for politics faster than this show.
Looking up the episode I attended about 20 years ago, the panel had Robin Cook, William Hague, and Shirley Williams on it. It might be rose tinted glasses but my memory is of a weightier discussion than platform for shouting and unchallenged lying it usually is these days.

The bastards constantly attack it despite being allowed to air their views unchallenged and it does nothing for non bastards. Bruce is beyond useless. Was that Habib cunt even elected? What the fuck is the point of him if not

I'm probably at 10 years sans Facebook now. I snagged a free sofa via my SiL the other week but that's about it (she found it there. It's a nice enough sofa, I detect minimal hatred in the fibres). I get my sillybollocks news from nextdoor

Imagine being such a cunt that even other members of your own party aren't sorry to see you lose your seat, and that party is the fucking DUP.

When they do the xox pops you can always tell a reform voter before they tell the reporter how they voted. It's always the teeth.
Maybe the collapse of NHS dentists has led to the rise in reform. Cavities make you obsessed with immigration. Will investigate.

People will probably try to bring it in now. Last time electoral reform was tried people either found it boring, didnāt understand it, or wanted the status quo.
Now people want to be able to ātell it like it isā they will fight for it.

Things is the left tend to get a higher vote share so they are better off with it staying as it is.

I assume this will be from the expensive press room that got mothballed pretty quickly. Odd embed not working, it's Starmer doing a press conference at 13:00.

Watching BBC News and they're outside No 10 and there's England flag bunting up for the football!
Press conference not in the expensive press room after all.

Interesting vid on Timpsons perspective on prisons This is not what I would call "Tory-lite" as has been slung at Starmer since forever. Telegraph/right-wing media will absolutely lose its shit if Labour begin entertaining these ideas as policy. Can see the headlines already: STARMER FREES PAEDOS FROM JAIL TO RAPE YOUR CHILDREN

I like that you guys are all positive about the grownups being in charge and ministers not being reshuffled all the time, but I seem to remember a bunch of that stuff going on under Blair/Brown, and more worryingly, people like Jack Straw often playing up their right-wing tendencies to appeal to Daily Mail readers.
Not saying we shouldn't all be happy and hope things will improve, but I do think it's a bit naive to think they're going to have significantly less internal squabbles and factions than the other lot.
Hopefully I'm wrong.

God, the PM is actually making thoughtful, measured comments in a press conference.
