What time does all the swingometer type stuff start? 22:00 as the polls close the exit poll will be announced. I laughed very hard at 2017's this elections should be even better.

Hmm. that's 6am here. Still, not too bad and I'm sure it'll be more entertaining than the England game.

Passport in hand it's tempting to go to the airport n fuck all the way off after voting rather than go to work tomorrow

Some of the bollocks I'm hearing today in the office is infuriating - the amount of misinformation is insane.
Headphones are going in.

Voted Labour this morning but not sure it was the right move.
This is historically a Tory safe seat with Lib Dem a distant second. So going on that Lib Dem would make sense.
However recent polling suggests the Labour vote will overtake them.
Of three tactical voting websites I looked at, they all had basically the same data and one said vote Labour and the other two were 'we don't know'. I'll be gutted if Malthouse sneaks through thanks to a Labour/Lib Dem split.

Nice walk to the polling station and back. I'm in a safe Labour seat but threw my vote at them despite a few misgivings as I'd like them to be a bit more bold with their ambitions even with the current state and cost of everything.

What I've heard this morning:
"Starmer wants to dismantle the NHS"
"They're all the same no matter who you vote for"
"Everyone will just go on benefits if Labour get in"
And the absolute worst - "At least Farage is honest"
Honestly, people should have to take a test in order to vote.

Does indeed. No longer need the swingometer or Jon Snow! Though I've now found out that Mel Stride represents Devon. I'm sorry.

Just voted, felt incredibly satisfying writing a big tick next to my labour candidate and an even bigger cross next to our local Tory cunt.

Doesn't look like my constituency is going to swap of Tory which at least means I can vote for someone other than Labour in clear conscience.

When do we usually get an indication of general turn out, incidentally?

Would be same time as exit poll, no? For early indication of turn out? Nah, it's not an exact science but we usually get some inkling of that throughout the day, no?

From the Guardian live feed. Not exactly a stellar photo op for Sarwar.

Just seen this in politico's playbook email. If Sunak loses his seat, which is looking possible, he'll be the first incumbent PM to lose his seat in a GE ever in the history of everything. He must be pleased that heāll leave a legacy

The abiding mood on my one remaining social media feed seems to be āLabour will win anyway so vote Green insteadā.
Iām not 1000% confident of that in my seat but I can see a huge Tory/Reform vote split handing it to Labour even if they donāt increase their own vote share.

I went libdems for local elections, except for mayor as I wasn't chancing it, that Tories might win. Will do same this time voting for Labour, as although I'm pretty sure Labour will get a ridiculous %, it's a new Clapham & Brixton constituency, and I'm not sure I trust those Clapham types.
