Access to finance and driving licences, as tools to make national service mandatory. Yes, he said that. But then said it would be for a royal commission to decide.

I wish someone would have followed up with 'So you're willing to dilute every British citizen's human rights in order to transfer a few asylum seekers to Rwanda?' And pull him up on our membership of other “foreign” organisations like NATO and The United Nations

I assume this is rhetorical, but anyway: because either there is no long term planning beyond election cycles meaning that the tinkering is half-baked, or the government in power fundamentally doesn't believe in a public health service, so gradually strips away more and more funding and gradually makes more and more damaging decisions so as to appear proactive whilst deliberately letting standards slip by stealth so that the electorate believes saving it is impossible.

It’s amazing that after all this time, all they can say to defend the Rwanda policy is Sovereignty and Foreign Courts.
Glad he was picked up on saying it’s a foreign court when it was set up by Britain and had British people in it. Also his pause when the guy made the point about Russia.
Rishi’s such a twat and so rubbish at the racist stuff, Boris was much better at all that.

I think you'll find inheritance tax changes are the real danger to farming not leaving the EU or free trade deals with Oz and NZ.
All businesses rely on dead people giving them money, no wait that's rich Tories.

Also FYI they've not said anything at all about inheritance tax and farms.

Got to admire the impressive leaps of logic that Labour maybe making changes to inheritance tax would have a negative effect on eggs

For those that didn't see it.... Mask has slipped a bit lol Let me get this straight, he cited other *European* countries who all apparently said the same thing that he's saying about immigration (they didn't but still), so that backs up his argument that we need to leave the ECHR??

That reply is funny though. You have your view but I have 15 countries that agree with me so fuck you pleb.

For those interested in seeing the letter from these 15 countries, found a link to it here - emnbelgium.be/news/15-eu-countries-ask-european-commission-propose-new-solutions-prevent-irregular-immigration Vague and doesn't really go much further than saying that the EU should relook at how safe third countries are currently being used. The main focus of the letter seems to be about setting up deals with countries that are along the migration routes used by illegal traffickers and to ensure victims of those illegal traffickers have alternative options available rather than travelling illegally into an EU country (again, it is vague about what those deals are actually going to be).

I won’t let other what countries say or do influence our national security —— I am justified in my decision because 15 other countries might do this

I'm surprised no one punched the tetchy little prick in the face after that response. His ilk really have no respect for the general population. Do these arseholes forget who they're supposed to be working for?

Doesn’t sound like it implies they all want to send them to countries like Rwanda.

I don’t think they forget, I think they don’t care and the public are an annoyance that stops him looking good in front of his billionaire mates.

Nah, he knows, he just cant help himself. If he acts like this around people he is supposed to be trying to win over, imagine what he’s like with his staff?
And people pick up on that. He comes across as an insincere, tetchy little fucker. Someone who is completely divorced from the reality everyone else faces everyday.
