Liberal TalkTV has gone woke! She did a good job of making him follow through with his arguments, which of course ended up saying the quiet part out loud. This should happen more often with these pieces of shit. Also I found his insistence on saying “it’s a border force, they should use force!” hilarious - he obviously regards himself as being a very clever boy for thinking that up. Christ. It's not the first time an old man called Ben has told someone to use the force.

He should have been honest, what he wants is someone onboard a Royal Navy boat to open up with a machine gun on every small boat. Maybe give them a warning first but after that destroy the vessel and sail away leaving them to drown.
He's a horrible little Nazi, like so many of the thick cunts in Reform.

Apparently there is a conservative backlash against the geezer who plays Reacher because he had the nerve to say ‘as a Christian, I really don’t get this modern interpretation where everyone acts like an arsehole instead of being kind and compassionate’. Well, it's rather easy to be kind and compassionate when you've got muscles that big, no sane person will dare oppose you

I was reading an article the other day about a pastor somewhere in America who had a member of his congregation tell him after his sermon that his 'speaking lines were too liberal' and when the pastor said that he had been quoting the actual words of Jesus from the actual Bible this 'Christian' had said something along the lines of 'well the world has changed'. Would that be in the Elon thread, perchance? (For reference: Let's not forget this, from last August (only two of multiple sources, I wish it was just Newsweek...)

Labour pledges to renationalise most rail services within five years
I hope Labour do go through with the pledge, as the rail service is utter shit with private companies, all profits go into cunt shareholders and nothing really into improvements (then the twats will say they will put up prices for the need to improve the service) Also if Labour go through with this, it will really wipe that smug cunty grin off the usual tankie shits on reddit and the ones from meet up group
Can Sunak just fuck off right now?

The job is partially done already with the rail franchises that have been taken into public control after they've fucked up. Even elderly Tory voters want this to happen so it's a pretty easy slamdunk for Labour. Was British Rail perfect? Fuck no but what we've got now is expensive and shit.

Rail franchises are easiest as when they expire they don't cost anything to buy out. Water companies have share holders and lenders to deal with .

Although the Govt.has got control over water quantity, leaks, etc and could ramp up the legislation on companies. Given the state of their finances you could make them a very unattractive business and bomb the share price.

Labour should say it more often that they don't really know what is going to be affordable once they get in because current gvt is all smoke and mirrors, e.g. saying they can increase defence to 2.5% through civil service cuts, which were also counted as part of the productivity improvements that were paying for the NI cut... and that nobody competent believes the spending assumptions with Paul Johnson at IFS extremely critical, and even the OBR head talking of those plans as fiction.

Ha, the OBR. It's weird that in another timeline Truss would still be PM and she would have closed the OBR down.

The defence budget "increase" is such bollocks anyway, 2.5% GDP of economy in the toilet is less than 2% of one that's not been fucked up by the Tories.

The nutters seem to think he’s one of them because he plays a character who shoots people and he’s muscly and the actor is religious, it’s a bizarre connection. Even the character is the opposite of what they believe. Although if being big and manly made it easy to be compassionate and nice then it doesn’t explain The Rock.

Its the same with GB News viewers which seems incredible until you realise that anyone Tory enough to watch GB News or read the right wing shit rags are also Tory enough to vote Reform, who are polling neck and neck with the conservatives.
Its not that Labour are super popular its that Tory voters have become even more deranged.

Really got to wonder what the 28% that say they’d vote for them are thinking. It may be because they say what they want to hear about migrants but they’ve even failed to deliver on that.
I can’t think of a single person outside those getting backhanders etc that have gained, no matter how awful their views are.

It’s the people who say “They’re all the same”, that believe everything in their paper of choice, that are unsure of who belongs to which party.
The politically unreachable
They’re in every class, social and economic group. There’s no single characteristic that can be used to target them.

It likely is people who say "they are all the same" that makes up some of the 28%. I expect also that a lot of them are people who are reasonably comfortable, they have a nice house, kids are older and aren't in school system any more, and they probably have private healthcare (although, aren't actually using it so don't realise that they will still rely a lot on the NHS if something was wrong).
Things are mostly fine for them. They might moan about the odd thing, but they also don't want to risk a Labour government potentially having a negative effect on their bank balance (even though they could afford it).
Obviously, the situation at the moment is particularly bad, so those that are completely isolated by it all are a shrinking group, but they aren't nonexistent.
Many of that group also say "they are all the same" in order to justify continuing to vote Tory, even though they know it is bollocks.

People also regularly manage to get cause and effect the wrong way around with newspapers and such. Though it is cyclical rather than one way. Murdoch papers in particular back the political party their readers are likely to vote for and not the other way around.
If you're trying to sell copies of the Times and the kind of person who buys the Times now likes Tony Blair you stop slagging off Blair in case they stop buying your paper.
It does feedback on itself. But people often talk about it like the Mail is leading around morons on a leash. Rather than responding to the tits who already read it.

I continue to believe that the election will be called at random. Sunak will look in the mirror have an existential crisis and call it immediately.

GUYS GUYYYYYS GUYSGUYSGUYS THIS WILL TOTALLY BE TRUE IT'S THE MINGE GUY Seems unlikely, but if it does turn out to be true it must mean he knows next week's local elections are going to be a real disaster and Sunak wants to get in ahead of the story being they all want rid of him.
