Are we sure that Laurence Fox isn't a sequel to I'm Still Here and is just some weird Joaquin Phoenix bit?

He's posh, so presumably it will never happen.

You'd think the last few times where he couldn't even make back his deposit because of so few votes would have taught him. Wha, wut? He really ought to stop snorting the mountains of cocaine he recently accused his ex wife, the mother of his children of doing.

Also it must be great being a law firm representing stupid people and taking their money off them so easily.

I would let him run just so he gets humiliated and doesn't have the "I would have won if the establishment didn't stop me." Bollocks.

He was posting about this within minutes of the rejection after submitting the application far too late to rectify any errors. It's the speech in Nike shoes every damn time.

It’s clearly deliberate. This way he doesn’t lose his deposit and gets to save some face because he isn’t pulling out like a great big fanny, he’s been disqualified on technicality.
Like Trump, I just wish people could resist every little opportunity to dunk on the idiot and ignore him.

Fair point re timing though.

Nah, he absolutely fucked it up on purpose. Doing that is easier than actually running for mayor and you still get to post about it on Twitter.

There is no way in any dimension that Ward Hadaway (decent or at least competent firm in my field/experience) weren't paid or guaranteed upfront after the KYC/AML checks, particularly given the stupid timing. Nike shoes. Probably velcro as well.

mistake is to think he's in any way limited by or motivated by making a return on investment. he's entirely funded by Jeremy Hosking, also funder of liz truss, nigel farage, andrew bridgen, vote leave, brexit party etc who for the low low price of a few million here and there gets to wield influence and set a news agenda far in excess of what he'd get via traditional party donations
if your business is short selling the country and fucking the planet, far from being a waste of money this both makes you money and allows you to make your mark on the world by destroying and hating and punching down because you're too morally bankrupt to create anything worthwhile or joyous

A thought that still hasn’t gone through Rishi Sunak’s mind: ”Hmmm, even the Torygraph is giving me a kicking. Am I doing something wrong?”

All of them should be in jail and Fujitsu should be barred from ever getting any public contracts again.

Last night the Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn profiles of Jeffrey Donaldson, DUP party leader, were just wiped off the Internet. This came after rumours earlier in the day that a NI man and his wife were arrested. And now there's a developing story of a man and his wife arrested for sexual abuse offenses www.belfastlive.co.uk/news/northern-ireland/husband-wife-co-down-charged-28907532Nothing confirmed of course but even if its not the same, it is strange how all of his profiles were wiped. DUP would need to make a statement pretty fast

From my limited experience of Fujitsu on government contracts they’re another that promise the world for low cost then try and charge a fortune later to make things work. They’re shit.

At the very least there's a perjury charge for Venells. But this case has shown full bare just how two tiered our justice system is. Easy to jail working people, but anyone higher up and then the hands start wringing.

There's a special place in hell for her. The church won't chuck her out as she will have asked for forgiveness and Jesus said, that's ok, I am constantly forgiving child rapists.

Channel 4 for the last couple of nights have had a story about recordings from 2013 of a meeting where the Post Office knew that the accounts could be remotely amended. The recordings also say that Vennells should be informed of the risk, although it wasn't clear from those recording whether she actually was informed or not. I believe this was also days before she went to a select committee and denied that remote access to the accounts was possible. Sounds like they now have prove that she did know more than she had been saying (Channel 4 is part of ITN, so wouldn't be surprised if it was the same investigative team that). The MP Liam Byrne's was also interviewed, as he has been part of the committee looking into the scandal and basically said the recordings were likely to be evidence that she had lied and that she could face contempt of parliament charges. So, highly likely police will be knocking on her door to ask questions about it all. Kind of surprised that the scoop hadn't been bigger, but hopefully with this additional evidence it will get more attention.

Easy to jail working people, but anyone higher up and then the hands start wringing. Can't jail hard working CEOs and executives. They're the lifeblood of the country. Think of who was keeping the country going through COVID... these guys!
