Then the royal’s press machine issues something called a MANDATORY KILL NOTICE (drama much?), asks the likes of Reuters to delete all trace from their very servers, and a load of weirdos on social media talk about ‘something being fishy’. The "kill notice" was done by press agencies like AP when something has been edited (badly)
the whole thing is such a non story, I bet the tories are loving it as moves the spotlight away from them for a day or 2

Basically the photo was retouched by someone at the Palace - didn't do a great job on close inspection (sleeve being misaligned for example). AP prides itself on using only original images and don't use anything doctored hence the kill order - pretty dramatic phrase to use. I have a suspicion they used Photoshops AI ability to select something they didn't like (ie a hand not in the right direction) and asking Photoshop to change it. At distance it looks fine. The issue for some is trust. If the royals are putting out stuff which is not quite real or representative then do you trust other photos they put out. I have used that aspect of Photoshop myself (expanding an area to add more content to better fit a place I have designated for an image). It feels a bit of a non-story but, for some, especially conspiracy theorists, it's the end of the world.

Tory MPs apparently questioning Sunak's judgement in ever making him a deputy chairman, well it's obvious why Sunak did it - he's fucking shit at politics. The same MPs who all said Liz Truss was best choice for PM? Riiiiight.

It's interesting that despite continually going on about coming from a different angle the same but different badge cunts are still obsessed with taxes and immigration as the things that they think people are deeply concerned about now.

It feels a bit of a non-story but, for some, especially conspiracy theorists, it's the end of the world. This is exactly why its caught on. The press office handled it in a sufficiently cack-handed way to give it enough 'Paul is dead' vibes to make normal people think its pretty funny and the kind of true crime mum who turns up to watch a housewife get fished out of a river ammo for a mumsnet thread.

Resigning from all 83 conservative splinter groups would have taken Lee longer than it would to cancel his broadband

I imagine there's an awful lot of people who would vote to undo Brexit so I'm not sure those Conservatives should be pointing out a good reason to vote Labour.

I'm completely surprised a racist, misogynist and massive Tory donor businessman has been given lots of government contracts.

I watch GMB in the morning, it's marginally more interesting than BBC news. Always has a little debate on the stories of the day. In the past week, the lead 'debate' has been on Kate fucking Middleton. First, a debate on why there wasn't a photo, Second, a debate on a pap photo. Third, a debate on a photo being doctored. It's really fucking depressing.
What's more depressing, during the adverts, they advertise the Google Pixel something or other, talking about applying AI to produce a best take photo. You're advertising a technology that could reproduce all of the inconsistencies in the photo from AI you fucking morons.
'Shall we talk about the state of the economy? No we'll talk about this drivel instead.'

I can understand the outrage. This must be the first time the media have ever published an edited photo.

Private Eye's long and mostly antagonistic relationship with Peter Carter-Fuck and his law firm is legendary.

I like how she calls for "space for forgiveness" but have people forgiven some of her comments and actions?

Not sure where the forgiveness comes when he said he wanted someone shot. Even if he never meant it actually to happen it's something that reflects incredibly badly on everyone involved.

I’m very much looking forward tomorrow’s game of ‘….but is it racist?’ with whichever idiots they wheel out to face the press

I can’t believe that he doesn’t believe his comment was regarded to race or gender.
Either he has really poor linguistic/cognitive processing issues or is just a spectacular gaslighter but without the toolset to even be good at it.
Off into the sea, should he fuck.
