Mostly play handheld lately, generally I use my PC for Big Gaming and then when I crash onto my bed I might boot up my switch once in a while

About 98% docked - I don't commute or have many other scenarios where I couldn't just use my TV.
Love that the poll is currently just about tied, though.

I've got a lite but we also have a normal Switch in the house
Hardly ever play it though, not really found anything that floats my boat. Obviously did Dark Souls and it was nice to play it on a handheld but preferred it on TV

I always prefer to play docked, however, there are a lot of power outages in my area so I use the handheld mode quite frequently.

I don't think I've taken mine out of the dock for 18 months.

Just spent the weekend showing family WarioWare and they loved it. Even though 5 of us huddled around the dinner table playing in portable mode as I may have left the dock at home.

Very rarely used undocked for me, I'm so much of a deviant I used a spare DualShock 4 and have the buttons remapped (very glad that was added to the firmware not long after I bought one) so Y/X and B/A are swapped around to a more "normal" Sony like order.

The button thing is really annoying if you're regularly switching between switch and another platform, PC in my case.

Almost always docked, in part because of what we play but also because an awful lot of games are clearly designed to be played docked and don't work great handheld, even things like Fire Emblem, which as a turn-based tactical game seems like it'd do great, just have tiny, fiddly UIs with text you can't make bigger and have to squint at in lots of parts of the game. Literally the only Switch game I've played which was absolutely perfect undocked was a PS Vita remaster.

I almost always play it docked. It’s basically my go-to platform for indies

Its a 60/40 split between docked and undocked for me. I almost never take the Switch outside the flat, but some games just suit portable play much better.
