The trailer didn’t do anything for me but then it didn’t really tell us anything about the kind of game it is beyond the art direction looking like the Avengers game.
An X-Com or Ultimate Alliance/X-Men Legends type thing would push a lot of buttons for me but I’m not holding out much hope.

Apparently it's got the base management aspect similar to Xcom but the battle side is different.

I didn't want to be a Debbie Downer. But yeah it reminds me of that X-Men game by Silicon Knights where you made your own mutant and was objectively cheap looking and terrible.

Looks pretty terrible. Also reminds me that the Storlord GotG game is out next month with pretty much no fanfare, so can't see that going well.
You'd think a superhero license would be a slam dunk for any half capable dev, but nope...
Unless it reviews spectacularly I'll be waiting for this to crop up as a freebie somewhere and checking it out in a gaming lull.

As soon as I see anything mentioning card or deck building I lose interest. I know it’s just a different implementation of that type of mechanic but I hate it.

This looks horrible but then I'm torn between it looking dreadful and then remembering it's being developed by the king of RPG games.
It might just be me but all I wanted was X-Com in the Marvel universe.

Marvel xcom sounds great but lost me at card deck builder and I agree it looks like f2p mobile game loaded with "surprise mechanics" but with nicer graphics

I personally am not against a card based RPG. I really liked an old GC game called Lost Kingdoms and didn’t mind the Steamworld one recently. |

I'm still intrigued. I don't mind deck builders (slay the spire is amazing, for instance).
Depends how it plays out, and that's still impossible to say. Visually is not amazing, but it's very much what I expected when I heard Firaxis were making it, they're not exactly a studio who do flashy graphics.

XCOM: Chimera Squad was not good compared to last 2 xcom games (had to check they did it and not outsourced it. It was "kid's first xcom game"

Eh, I liked Chimera Squad. Not as much as, say, War of the Chosen, but it was cool to have a smaller team with more distinct abilities and personalities.
It was also nice to have a campaign that doesn't go for dozens and dozens of hours.
