I love that Kojima keeps getting money thrown at him to fund his AAA nonsense

In Death Stranding 3 we'll go to Europe, 4 is Africa and 5 is Asia, with Australia as 3's DLC (because it's somehow safer than Africa/Asia and they went there first)

By the time this trailer has finished the game will probably be out...

Excited by Dragon's Dogma II and Rise of the Ronin - I just wish they weren't coming out on the same bloody day!
Death Stranding 2 looks great... but I would say that, having loved the original.
Agree with Junior re Stellar Blade: Nier vibes aplenty, albeit not nearly as exciting for my tastes.

I was hoping that we would get to see lots of single player games and not a bunch of service games. Fully expected to be disappointed on that account, so came away pretty pleased with that showing.
Stellar Blade, Dragon's Dogma 2, Death Stranding, Rise of Ronin and the mini Silent Hill all looked pretty good to me. Judas looked like more Bioshock, so could be interesting, although not a huge amount of gameplay shown.
Silent Hill 2 looked kind of ropey, to be honest. I'm not hugely familiar with the original (think I played some of it emulated once many years ago), so would like to actually be able to play sometime, but would probably just rather a remaster than a remake.

Stellar Blade looked better than I was expecting but I hope you can equip Eve (and her jailbait engineer) with a sports bra and some cargo pants.
I thought it was a pretty decent SoP for a change, a lot of the games weren't for me but I can see them being what other people want, I also really need to restart and finish Death Stranding as I never did, DS2 looks fucking out there even for a Kojima game.
One thing I still can't get over is how mid-gen PS4 Rise of Ronin looks, it'll probably play fine but for a game coming out solely on PS5 4 years after Ghost of Tsushima (I know it has cities that GoT certainly didn't) it should look better than that.
Dragons Dogma 2 vs Rise of the Ronin on the same day looks like a serious mistake for RoR.
Anyhow looking forward to Dave the Diver, Judas (clearly Ken Levine doing Bioshock 4) and the VR games look like two I'll definitely pick up when I finally buy the headset, come on Sony knock some money off for the first anniversary.
Most important news of course is the fucking EXOSUIT is coming to Helldivers 2, I was a bit concerned it was being left out.

Fucking Death Stranding 2, Kojima has fully lost it and I love it. Nothing like it in gaming, that art design - that little stop motion thing and when he does the red eyed hiss at the guitar wielding antagonist. Graphics look deeeecent, voice acting incredible.
Instantly shot up to joint first most anticipated game along with GTA6. Shame both are a year+ away

I'm not sure what Team Ninja are doing when it comes to graphics - Wo Long looked worse than Nioh, and Ronin looks closer to the former than the latter!
I'm sure the gameplay will be good (or maybe even great), though, which is the main thing for me.
Couldn't agree more. I was hoping that Sony would announce a delay for Ronin, but the April release date for Stellar Blade had pretty much put paid to that notion before the Ronin preview even began.

It's Koei Tecmo's garbage engine. It's so far behind everyone else visually while still running terribly.
Nonetheless I'm massively looking forward to Rise of the Ronin. Seeing what looked like weapon stances return while also having cool looking riposte moves was exciting. Another game set in Yokohama's good too!

Isn't that what scuppered Wild Hearts? They really should do something about it.

It made for a terrible PC version of Wo Long too. And don't forget Dynasty Warriors 9 which has awful performance on everything in spite of being 6 years old now.

Was also pleasantly surprised by the state of play, didn't have much expectations. Nice to get actual gameplay bits in the trailers. I went and caught up with some of the trailers revealed at the game awards just before and ended up forwarding most of it. Full of CG crap that tell you little about how the games actually play. Largely a waste of time.
I thought Stellar Blade looks like a solid PS3/360 title.

Same, although I'm sure this is helped along by my being an avid Nintendo gamer I can take subpar/outdated graphics (to a point), as long as the game runs well and is fun, and RoR looks to be doing both while still potentially providing some quite stunning shots.

Fun little thing I noticed in the RotR trailer, actually: the group of people the PC is running with at one point had a very distinctive pattern on their sleeves. I had my suspicions, especially with the game's setting being mid-19th century Japan, checked some things out and sure enough, it matches the famous pattern on the uniform of the Shinsengumi, a well-known (and widely used in popular culture) group of essentially Shogunate-employed bodyguards that was active around the time period Rise of the Ronin takes place in! I wonder how you'll interact with them, feels like the type of thing that, in an open world game, ends up being a faction you can ally with or oppose...

Was that solely a third party showcase as they showed quite a lot of stuff that's coming out over a year away and most of the games shown were multiplatform.

Death Stranding 2 is all I want. The first one is one of my all time favourite games. I even spent all those hours to get the platinum. And I’d keep playing it if there was more.

Thought that was good overall. Stellar Blade is not for me in terms of style and, fuck me, the tit’s n sticky out arse stuff is old now- games really look like the immature basement dwelling nephew of film and I wish we’d get past it. Can’t help feeling Rise of the Ronin looks… not nearly as good as GoT.
Mega hyped to play Dave The Diver.

Death Stranding, Rise of the Ronin, Until Dawn and (I think) Stellar Blade are being published by Sony, though they are being made externally.

That's not a single Sony studio though and one of them is a remake. One of them is next year as well.
Was hoping to at least see one Sony studio game being shown.

And Until Dawn is a PC release too. Used to be that the Playstation and PC combo was perfect way to capture everything (excluding Nintendo games, of course). Sony's decision to now release so much on PC as well means that isn't really the case anymore. Personally, if something is coming out on PC as well, I'm just going to get the PC version. As a result, my PS5 is basically just a Blu-ray player nowadays.
This showing actually did give some reason to own a PS5 for games though. I'm assuming Stellar Blade, Rise of Ronin and Death Stranding 2 will likely have PC versions at some point, but probably not for a while.

They're probably (hopefully?) saving all the first-party announcements for a PlayStation Showcase event later in the year, as that stuff usually doesn't make it into the State of Play streams.

Just feels like a year we might not see much released from them which is a shame as I do love a good Sony exclusive 3rd person game.
