Sounds like it's worth trying out with my daughter.

We've got this on the Switch - Mrs Toast and the Toastettes love it, though it does provoke some fairly heated family interactions... A lot of fun though, This looks like just the kind of thing my kids love (Overcooked, Human Fall Flat, etc..) Those also provoke some heated arguments

Very much like those, quirky humour and the co-op play is brilliant - two people on either end of a sofa, chucking it through a first-floor window and then running downstairs to drag it out of the fishpond and on to the removal truck... complete riot actually.

This looks like just the kind of thing my kids love (Overcooked, Human Fall Flat, etc..) Those also provoke some heated arguments When my neice and nephew are round and play Human Fall Flat it always ends up in arguments. There's me thinking it would help them understand how to co-operate with each other and learn to discuss strategies, compromise etc but nope, one wants to do one thing, the other something else. Cue lots of red-faced shouting at each other and threats of turning it off from me. Surprisingly, they still like to play it. Edit: Salt & Sanctuary free on Epic today. Tomorrow's offer has a pickaxe graphic so maybe a Tomb Raider?

Salt and Sanctuary looks kind of fun but I despise the art style.
Will give it a go anyway, seems pretty highly rated!

It is the Tomb Raider Trilogy, but I can't claim it: when I click, it just shows me the Tomb Raider 20 Year Celebration I own.

Yeah, I'm getting errors at checkout too. Weird that this would be the series to bring the servers down.
No big deal if I can't redeem in the end since I have them all on PS anyway.

And they last a week so no rush this time...
Mine all appeared to work but no email receipts and still say "buy" but some other stuff I own is also saying that so general bugginess I reckon.

I have all three but these include all the dlc apparently so I'll give it a day or so and claim.

Seems Tomb Raider has brought the whole of Epic crashing down, very much like any tomb that Lara steps foot in. Was just starting RDR2, decided to quit out to download a fix for black bars during the cutscenes* and was no longer able to launch the game. Tried restarting the launcher, but even that took about half an hour to log back into. Now it just says Server Unavailable under RDR2.
Already own the Tomb Raiders, but will no doubt claim them here. Not sure if I have all the DLC, although I think I bought all of them a little time after release, so probably do. They are good, if you haven't played them, although I would much prefer them to go back to the style Crystal Dynamics originally went with in Legend, Anniversary and Underworld.
*On a side note, I normally don't have an issue with black bars in films and games, but it does really bug me when a game does a cinematic aspect ratio for cutscenes, but ends up with black bars above, below and to the side on ultra-wide monitors. The aspect ratio is already 21:9, just let it fill the screen!

According to Dominic Tarason most of the dlc for Rise (if that's the third one) is new tombs to raid, so I'm game for that. The whole new series seems to have headed more in the direction of actual tomb raiding with each release so I'm hopeful for any sequels that might appear.

But it's a really good giveway. I own the first two on PS, so owning all three on pc will be really nice. Even my slightly ageing GPU should be able to run all three at 1080p60 at ultra.

Ah, it must be Shadow then. I have an ageing PC, who doesn't because GPU prices and crypto arseholes, but all three have played well at 1080p.

Which Tomb Raider Trilogy?
[edit] Oh, that one.
One of those was supposed to be decent, is it the 3rd one (Rise?)
Considering the massive celebration we all had about epic adding the shopping cart, I don't think I've ever gotten it to work properly

The middle one (Rise) was probably my favourite, but they're all decent games imo.

I liked that new Tomb Raider trilogy.
The first one is the weakest, but still enjoyable but the second one (Rise) and third (Shadow) are pretty great. Rise especially.
They do lean more into actual raiding of Tombs than the first game, having a few optional areas that were really cool and more puzzle based...
That said I've not yet finished the third, might go back to it in 2022.

I would say each one improved on the last, as each one seemed to increase the number of tomb sections. By far the best bits of each game are the tombs, whereas the more open survival sections are less interesting and not overly Tomb Raider-like. If you care much for story, none of them are great, but the third one (Shadow) goes totally bobbins. The first isn't a bad origin story for Lara, although heavy amounts of ludonarrative dissonance going on.

There is a massive gulf between the three though. The first Tomb Raider would run at 60fps on 1080p and high settings even on my old HD7850. It is, after all, an Xbox 360 game at heart. Shadow, even on the RX480 which is supposed to be more than twice as fast as the 7850, needs to drop to low settings to keep a (mostly) locked 60fps.

Shadow is a mess in most of the ways it is possible to be one and certainly the weakest of the trilogy, but it's also the one I spent the most time with because the tombs were such a pleasure to explore.
