So, I just tried to use my £10 coupon that I got from claiming a free game to get the new Battlefield (yeah I know, broken mess, but it is only £23 with the voucher). Didn't take in that the store still had my old credit card stored on it, which caused the payment to fail. Not a massive issue in itself, but it seems to have blown my voucher away with it.
Anyone know if I get another voucher when I claim the free game tomorrow or am I going to have contact Epic to try and get the voucher back?

In case anyone else has voucher problems, I didn't get another one from claiming the next free game. I actually had to go into the payment screen, which at the top had something saying that there was no available voucher. Clicking on that message dropped down to show the £10 voucher already tied to a purchase. Clicking view on that gave me another screen to cancel its connection to the failed purchase.
Really unclear and very buried, but all sorted now and I got my BF 2042 for £23.

Every time I've looked the £10 is deducted at checkout, regardless if whether you've been issued one or not. Epic said they're unlimited. And if you have a couple of games in your cart, they get ten off each.

Vampyr is the Epic freebie today. Worth having for nowt. Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised by this, as it seemed to meet with a bit of a mediocre reaction. Some interesting ideas, not always successfully implemented, but worth checking out. I came away hoping they would at some point do a sequel and have another bash at trying to perfect the formula. |

Thought the same kind of thing about Remember Me and I'm still waiting for a sequel. One and done seems to be the studio's specialty... (well, apart from LiS 2)

Remember Me was so good, outside the combat. Probably still my favorite thing they've done. Was Twin Mirror any good? (I think that's what it was called) People don't talk about that one as much as the others, but I think it's also on sale at the moment.

Pathfinder is a decent choice but I bought the complete version on GOG a few months back and haven't had time to play it yet. |

I claimed it, but I might be too much of a coward to play it. Speaking as a videogames coward, Prey is actually reasonably safe. The mimics are the only things that gave me occasional jump scares, but they have a giveaway noise so you get a warning before it happens. There's also an ability you can get reasonably early that largely negates their jump scare ability all together. You'd be missing out on a fantastic game if you avoided it. It's not really a proper horror and it's got an engaging story and brilliant sense of place. Really feels like exploring an actual spaceship. |

The only problem I had with Prey is that it has that floaty control feel to it that all Arkane games somehow have.

Today's Epic freebie is Control (just the base game)
It's a great game, one of my favourite games of the last few years.
Amazon gave away the complete, "ultimate" edition not too long ago, but even the base game by itself is worth a punt for free.

We've got this on the Switch - Mrs Toast and the Toastettes love it, though it does provoke some fairly heated family interactions... A lot of fun though,
