Codefendants - This is Crime Wave (Fat Mike side project). This album is up there with very best of the punk/hip-hop crossovers.
It's a pretty bleak listening experience covering a range of political and abuse angles but it's so beautifully put together and stays with you long after listening.

Fat Mike, Sam King and Ceschi, what's not to like.

Poison Ruin's album is pretty good. Getting a fair bit of buzz, think these guys are going to be relatively big

Just saw The Chisel. Had an old school punk mosh.
Technically they're supporting The Chats but I'm actually tempted to just fuck off as I like The Chisel more than the Chats and I'm frankly knackered.

Yeah decided to just fuck off. For me The Chats wouldn't compare as I only know a handful of their songs, I wouldn't be dancing much and I'm tired.
The Chisel are fucking great though. Hope I can see them headline at some point.

And then next year we have Dookie, Smash, Punk in Drublic etc all hitting 30. Madness. Admittedly I didn’t start listening to them until around 4 years later when I was 14, but still.

I'd like to know what the fuck metric they are defining Punk by at Bandcamp if that is the first one on their list:
That said, if I hadn't read that list then I wouldn't have heard this EP by a French two-piece called Allusion, sounds like an at-their-heaviest GBH:

Stumbled across across this whilst looking up a band who are supporting Municipal Waste. The band supporting are GEL, but this is GELD.
And it's good

Anyone going seeing Rancid in Manc next week? Enjoy having your chest cavity rattled by Freemans bass! Been a long time since I’ve seen them, must have been the Indestructible tour, but can still vividly remember that feeling.

Unknown Road>About Time
On the subject of summer music and youthful association, the other classic I love playing in the sun is the Jar of Flies/SAP EPs by Alice in Chains.

Had a lot of Face To Face on this morning, which reminded me that a film about them exists:
---
Pastel remains the best song on "Don't Turn Away", which is really saying something because that album is wall to wall brilliance:

Talk elsewhere (Glasto thread) reminded me of this...
What Big Dunc did (one of the things) whilst Snuff snoozed.

They’re not a band I ever really listened to myself but the fact that Anti Flag have immediately broken up in response to the singer being accused of rape and sexual assault makes me think that there must be something to it.
