Adkins career has had an upward spike lately which is deserved, John Wick 4 should be good for the profile. Man pumps out a lot of content! A lot of duff ones but some quality as well. Undisputed 2 and 3 have great fights. Here's 10 minutes of kung foolery. youtu.be/n9ya9E-ryuoPart 2 has Michael Jai White who needs to he in more films.

Speaking of Michael Jai White, can we talk about Black Dynamite? Hands down my favorite spoof film of all time.

Speaking of Adkins, I just watched Ip Man 4.
The fights are pretty funny. One breaks out because some evil karate men walk into a diner inhabited by Bruce Lee and his kung fu men and say - shock, horror! - that kung fu is shit. Like there's just gangs of martial artists just walking around waiting to challenge each other.
Anyway, it's fine. Adkins is a better fit for this kind of movie than Mike Tyson was (though his character makes no sense). And Donnie Yen is great, though he has less to do here. It's about as subtle as a brick to the head, but that's pretty normal for this kind of thing.
Whoever made it really, really, really hates karate for some reason. I guess because it's Japanese?

Oh yeah, and the guy playing Bruce Lee was cool. It'd probably satisfy the people who hated Once Upon A Time in Hollywood for the Bruce Lee stuff, though I've nfi which portrayal (if any) is closer to how he was in reality.

My "cartoons" as a kid involved a lot of (quite graphic) anime as I lived in the Hong Kong and Brunei. Always loved Bruce Lee and used to like the "Shogun Assassin" type films (I say used to, as I can't believe how gory they look these days).
Always wanted to be good at martial arts, but never really put in the effort. I know some ju jitsu, I've a red belt in karate and an orange in Kung Fu but I've not done any for ages. Have thought about Tai Chi but I think I'll do yoga instead and realise my ambition to be a ninja is probably not going to happen.
