The problem though, is that the well has been pretty thoroughly poisoned. "Vaguely leftish thing that annoys me" is basically what the word means now, and it feels like you can't use it in a conversation without a 5 minute explanation of what it actually means (which nobody has the patience for).

This process has happened for other terms, but it feels like it's happening more quickly now.

Her spokesperson is a great example of why I think all spokespeople should be named, because the level of bullshit they're outputting is frankly astonishing and it's hard to know if they're just being told what to say or coming up with this insanity by themselves:

Particularly amazing are the bits where the spokesperson claims Mone can't be racist because she built schools in Africa (ROFL yeah no white person who "helped the natives" in Africa was ever a racist, I'm sure), and also, when she made a weird racist comment to a guy, it "wasn't racist", because the target of the comment "looks and sounds 100% white" (HOLY FUCK... this is itself a racist comment from the spokesperson), even though you would never make that comment unless you knew the person to be non-white, and indeed the comment would be racist even if directed at a white person.

Oh and she wasn't being mean about people with mental health when she called the lady with mental health issues a "mental loony" and "nut case bird".

I'm surprised they didn't roll out the "just bants" defense. But again, given the spokesperson themselves made a racist comment, fucking name spokespeople.

For extra bonus racism, her lawyers separately made the same "He looks and sounds white!!" claim, which like, when in a hole, keep digging I guess? Maybe you'll reach China?

It must be great being a Tory MP, pay fealty to the PM and in return do whatever the fuck you want and if you get found out wade it out for a while and either apologise or say nothing and let it blow over and carry on as normal. Continue to get backhanders and sort your mates out and at the end of your mediocre career get a guaranteed seat in the House of Lords to continue the gravy train. Actually doing the job your job or setting an example is a mug's game.

I do understand that some faithful Jews try to make sense of that horror in a way that doesn't invalidate their faith. That's all too human. But it's something else if a non-Jew vomits their antisemitic rants and suggests that Hitler hated Jews with reason.

His ilk aka ignorant morons lack the critical thinking ability to even consider that Hitler would hate people like him too. Again let's not beat around the bush here, this is racism pure and simple, people get all weird about labelling it as such as Jewish people are considered white by a lot of people so as to lessen the truth as to what is actually going on. So fucking depressing.
