So mine is upgrading on series x.
Is anything new actually happening/added beyond a graphics upgrade?
I had parked it with two endings left to do, so at least i have a bit to see and do to check out how much it has changed.
Maybe fire it up at the weekend and see if it looks any better, although not touched it in a year, so doubt I'll even remember what it looked like to begin with!

Taken as a whole though it sounds like it might feel a bit different. Quite like the sound of the driving improvements. |

Looks pretty nice with the ray tracing. Dunno if I can stomach 30 fps anymore though.

This does actually look quite a bit better than the old version. Moreso than I expected. It’s nice.
Might go with performance mode tbh as it looks excellent.

Woo. Downloaded the PS5 version hoping it'd just read my PS4 save file without old upload save those year one upgrades required. Thankfully, it did. Saw Continue on the main menu, pressed X and it loaded up exactly where I left off. Now I can mop up the side quests I missed without replaying the whole game, though I'm sure I'll want to do that at some point anyway.
Shelving it for now though as I want to finish Horizon as quickly as reasonably possible so I can get the new one this weekend.
Glad Sony and/or developers have seemingly solved the PS4 save issues though.

I've only played on PC. Slightly older GPU (1070) so no ray tracing shiny so wouldn't mind picking up a console version. But if basic things like world density hasn't picked up and it's just a graphical upgrade on the PS4 version it doesn't sound like it's worth it. Is this it or is there a genuine next gen version coming out for consoles? The only other way to get raytracing shiny seems to be dropping (and this is at the lower end) £500+ on a 2060 gpu and I don't fancy it TBH.

It's like 55GB on PS5, and testing it, I can confirm it was the upgraded version. So yeah, the 67GB or whatever install on Xbox is probably it.
