Entered Dogtown on this playthrough and I'm now officially in Dogtown open world and not just post landing wandering to gawp at the shinies. NGL, that opening was something special!!
Utterly gobs asked when 'it' stood up from under the sheet. Id literally just read a shard with details how they wanted to sell some heavy artillery.

Yeah, that whole section felt like was a decent step up from anything in the main game.
Awful boss fight to cap it off, though.

AHH, I loved that fight. Totally wasn't expecting it as I thought it was just this long plot action scene but to turn into a boss fight was ace. I can however, see that fight playing out entirely different depending on your character choices to that point. Reckon melee are in a sticky predicament.
I 'luckily' maxed the yinglong smart SMG to T5++. Homing bullets that cause mini electrical explosions/emp bursts/whatever. I literally just ran around hosing bullets in its general direction and it died so quick. It was only afterwards that I survey the room to see loads of roof turrets I could've hacked or even just hit it with a T5 shock hack.
Still, super dead and I have Jail broken my augs for a nifty upgrade to my monowire

I've just infiltrated a party and it has probably been one of the best things ever.
Cruising around the room, listening to the music and spotting the movers and shakers of NC.
Then after the 'chat' a performer stepped out and BOOM fucking epic light show and song.
Fuck this game is awesome.

Finally about to cross off the last achievement in this. It's been pretty much all-consuming for my gaming time these past two months, so looking forward to playing something a bit shorter next!
That quest was ace. Make sure you make a manual save during the firestarter quest if you want to come back and see all of the DLC's endings btw.

I don't think I've ever watched a game credits before. That was thoroughly epic. I reckon if I'd done that opening mission instead of driving around just to check out the new traced rays I'd have gone all in then. Utterly sucked in after that opener and the new area was fantastic.
Shame they aren't doing anymore dlc
Like I did with the main game on my first playthrough, I'm not gonna reload to see the alternative endings as I feel it'll lessen the one I had. That can be a different playthrough with a different v

It is what it is really. I imagine it's functional but I don't think you'd have a great time. Stuff like the cpu and mechanical hard drive just hold it back.

I'm just running around now cleaning up the NCPD events, side jobs and gigs now, not many left actually before going to meet Hanako @ Embers.
Literally maxed all stats, swimming in mats and everything is tier 5++ and even on the hardest difficulty, I'm just melting everything. Feels good man although this happened last time I played and I stopped taking in the environment and stories of the gigs in favour of being death incarnate, difference now is I'm supper agile so I'm dashing everywhere and hosing out smart targeted death.
What I did discover last night though was the legendary mod I could craft from the Chimera core. Wtf?
How the fuck did I miss this! I don't remember anything after that event saying I could use it. Still, I created a Hackatomy and put it in my Smart XMOD pistol. It's changed my game up at least :-)

I guess the only other benefit of the RT mode is a greater amount of pedestrians and cars on the road. |

Been playing this quite a bit recently, after a few months hiatus when I got distracted by Spider-Man 2 and Alan Wake 2. Not sure why it has taken me so long to get back into this, but it is a bit good. I did find the combat wasn't great due to bullet spongy enemies, but now I have some decent weapons this seems less of an issue. Also have been getting a bit more to grips with the skill tree and the different cyberware you can hook up at the ripperdocs. There is so much to choose from and some much info that it was pretty overwhelming, but starting to come together now. I'm guessing some of the onboarding difficulty is related to changes that were implemented in 2.0 or has it always lacked guidance?
I've probably messed up my attributes and perk spending, as I have them quite spread out at the moment (except for in body). Is the big reset attributes button complete free to do? Do you regain perk points as well?
It is the stories that I'm really impressed with. I've been digging into the Panam stuff most recently and it is all great. Amazing that it is mostly just side content stuff rather than part of the main missions. Same goes for the investigation with River, which I've done a little of (just been to the club and found the infected BD device). I know people sing the praises of the storytelling in The Witcher 3, but I was always quite underwhelmed by it. Besides the Bloody Baron quest, nothing really stood out to me. Here though, it seems CDP have upped their game considerably and I'm enjoying just soaking in the various different story beats, even if it is just some guy that is mourning the loss of his turtle.
Edit - ah, I see that the reset attributes is a one time thing and was mainly added for returning players due to he big changes in 2.0. Still handy for me though.

Yeah you can reset and respend any of the individual points (yellow) within each tree to respect how you like but the main attribute points (blue) are set in stone unless you use your one time reset.
Pc players can just get one of the mods and freely reset them at any point but I never bothered.
