Tomo Probably a silly question, but do you have a lot of points in the Blades skill tree? They scale along with that and might be weak I do yeah. Without mods, is it possible to walk around the bases effectively one-tapping everyone? That's basically what I was expecting. Pirouetting through levels stealthily cutting people into ribbons. Or is it usually a couple of hits with the alarms raised? Assuming it hasn't also been nerfed, you might want to switch out for the monowire, because I was pretty much doing just that with it equipped. |

Yeah, I thought it was great, myself. One of the darker questlines in the game. I played male V and it's kind of funny that his sister tries to set you up with him even though he doesn't swing that way, so I didn't bother with the kiss option this time around.
I'm gonna bang Kerry though (who whines a lot more, with less reason IMO).

Finished the Disasterpiece job. Still early days, but I'm struggling a bit to immerse myself into this game - both narration and gameplay wise it's not really clicking yet. Does it get better? Just keep on following the main storyline or should I take a breather and take some side quests?

I also played a lesbian V (although didn't get knocked back by Pan Am because I can read signals), but I wouldn't have shagged River if I'd been a pant dropper of any gender. Not even sure if I finished his questlines, they were just dull.

I played female street ganger / Aldecaldo ending (street samurai style: katana, revolver, shotgun) and then alpha male corporat / Arasaka loyalist (smart SMGs + decking). The male run seemed more natural?

Played a female scav first, then a make corpo. It just felt more natural as fem V. I dunno, not much in it. Think I just preferred the fem V voice acting.

Probably also depends on which gender you went with first. You spend those 50 hours with a character you've created and their voice, it becomes canon to you. Probably why my Commander Shepard is canonically male in my head, despite Jennifer Hale probably giving a better performance.

Is there a mod to remove the DJs from the radio stations? That's all I'd want. Have never been a fan of them in games, apart from Bootsie Collins in GTA.

V is clearly as female and lesbian as Shepherd was.
I don’t even know what male V’s voice actor sounds like. Male lead voice actors tend to be very generic. If they had Ron Perlman or Gilbert Gottfried voice a male protagonist I’d give it a go.

Today I learned that gorilla arms negate body requirements for all weapons so regardless of your Body rating you'll be using it at its full potential. Is it actually mentioned in game and I just missed it?

I’ve never tried any of the arm upgrades, especially “gorilla arms”. I like my pretty arms.
I don’t think any of the arm upgrades are non-lethal?

Gorilla's non-lethal. They're great for Gigs or those Cyberpsycho quests where you need to keep them alive. Also make the Brat on the Beat fights a joke. But you have to make sure you don't go overzealous with the trigger cause if you punch them when they're knocked out but breathing you do kill them. Shame the scanner doesn't tell you if the subject's alive or dead.

Even more so most quests will treat an incapacitated enemy same as a dead one. For example the one where you need to save a monk. He complains his life isn't worth the life of others - I was like whachu on about man, they're all alive, I just made them lose consciousness by hacking their implants. That's fucken' karma right there!

Yeah, I was non-lethal choking people left and right and stuffing them in boxes, but during one quest it Xed the optional "don't kill anyone" objective, so I've stopped boxing them up. It gets... messier this way.
Although I've also just started short circuiting and rebooting or whatever the other non-lethal instant takedown hack.

To echo the sentiment of some other comments in here the edgerunners show on Netflix is rather good and I love all the ties to the game world such as locations, characters, mods right down to the ringtone for the phone calls.
When's the dlc out, it's generated an urge to restart

Next patch 1.7 totally revamping the police. That would be great if they can function properly.
Anyway I'm nearly finished the Netflix show and I think I'm going to have to do a 3rd play through. I was planning to wait until phantom liberty but damn I've really enjoyed the show and it's reminded me how much I love the world.
