Does the devil's arse sit or stand when wiping? It sits, and gets sloppy avoiding the balls and the bowl.

If we have to actually do anything to contain it we're absolutely fucked. You can't just take away are freedoms again!

I suppose in this case it actually has very visible symptoms, but as I write this I know the very simple folk will still try and perform some mental gymnastics to claim it's not real.

BBC had a piece last week: "Monkeypox: PANIC or IGNORE?"
Those are the only 2 options.

BBC had a piece last week: "Monkeypox: PANIC or IGNORE?" Those are the only 2 options. Well, given that this morning Boris said that it's "rare" and the consequences of catching it "don't seem to be very serious"...
I'm off to buy loo roll and pasta.

Real life is really challenging The Onion for headlines now.

I am very entertained by Google News feed throwing up articles in the mirror about neighbourly disputes (presumably because I once clicked on one article about a boundary dispute, as my neighbour is having a few issues currently). They are hilarious. Proper filler. www.mirror.co.uk/news/weird-news/my-neighbour-demanding-son-mow-27183424.ampAlso had people parking on other drives and all sorts.

Satire is dead, and reality killed it. (Oh, and the article right below is about a statue of Mona Lisa mooning us. Because of course it is. www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-bristol-58552412 )

The Mona Lisa was really fucking dissapointing when I saw it.
I've been to plenty of art galleries and museums as i went to art college and studied illustration at uni. But yeah, the Mona Lisa just made me think "oh, that's it??".
There's plenty of other *far* more interesting and impressive paintings in the Louvre.

"The Mona Lisa is the world's most famous artwork, created by Leonardo da Vinci from 1503"
That's some top of the class grammar.

My sleepy brain flipped cake and old woman in that sentence. Would be quite a way of one upping the guy.

It's both small and fucking far away, and there's always a fucking massive crowd in the way. Stupid way to exhibit it.
The Venus De Milo is literally down the hall from it and you can go right up to that, most people do when they're barging their way to the Mona Lisa room.

Tories constantly slashing the budget innit, while syphoning off chunks of the license fee to give to their pet projects run by private companies. e.g. BT

soranews24.com/2022/06/07/survey-suggests-about-half-of-japanese-companies-has-an-old-guy-who-does-nothing/A survey by consulting firm Shikigaku asked 300 employees who each worked at companies with over 300 staff members if they had an “old guy who doesn’t work.” 49.2 percent responded that there was. When asked what they were doing instead of working, “taking many breaks for smoking and snacking” was the most common, acknowledged by 49.7 percent of responses. “Staring off into space” came in second with 47.7 percent.I think those old guys are living my career goals.
