It's not been ignored. She was arrested at the time.

Kinda surprised with the storyline on this one, sad case of course, kids removed from their care and returned to the UK, it seems some countries clam up and protect their own but not so here. www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-66800712

I’m with Youthist.
The children are still in Pakistan, they haven’t been returned to the UK

Sure, but the adults have been returned as presumably they're suspects. That seems (sometimes) to be resisted by their native country's.

I wonder what the Daily Mail think of this power couple. www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-66804252Norway's Princess Martha Louise will marry her American partner, self-styled shaman Durek Verrett, next summer, the couple has announced. Mr Verrett is known for promoting unfounded medical practices. He has suggested cancer is a choice and sold medallions online said to ward off Covid-19, while Princess Martha Louise has claimed she is able to communicate with angels. The Hollywood guru, who describes himself as a "6th Generation Shaman" - has claimed to have risen from the dead and to have predicted the 9/11 attacks in the United States two years before they took place. Mr Verrett, who is African-American, has acknowledged that his beliefs can be uncomfortable for some, and has argued the criticism he faces is due to racism. Norway princess gives up royal duties Meanwhile Princess Martha Louise has attracted controversy in Norway for decades for her involvement in alternative treatments, including starting a school that aimed to help people "get in touch with their angels".

And they have returned of their own free will.

Anyone been following the news about the Unity Runtime Fee announcement? In short, they decided to add an additional fee for developers to pay up to 0.20 cents per install of their game once they reach certain thresholds, regardless of the game's price (including free), including same build demos, and games on gamepass or epic free schemes. They're also seemingly providing no info on how they intend to collect this data, or how they plan to deal with pirated installs, angry gamers trying to punish devs by repeatedly redownloading games. And also, while this change will happen for everyone only after 1st Jan, it also applies to old games released prior to the date, if a user decides to reinstall it. Somewhat unsurprisingly, people are unhappy; www.theguardian.com/games/2023/sep/12/unity-engine-fees-backlash-response

Seems a little weird the defence of the suspects in the girls murder. Peculiar.

Someoene posted about it in the Cult of the Lamb thread. Surprised they can apply it retroactively. Why would anyone trust them after this?

Remember one of the guys in charge once said gamers would pay real money to be able to reload a gun in Battlefield.

Remember one of the guys in charge once said gamers would pay real money to be able to reload a gun in Battlefield. Yeah, that's John Riccitiello, right? Pay per Clip or something. Hasn't changed much, apparently. It seems an insane move that surely they knew would not go down well. I'm assuming they think they have enough bigger devs making money who are fully invested in their system and won't move to Unreal or Godot or whatever. I can't imagine how frustrating it must be if you've been working on a game in Unity for a few years to suddenly have you financial terms changed up on you, or maybe if you were someone like the Sea of Stars devs who have seen a sudden unexpected success and will see some of that now eaten up by a new fee that wasn't there before.

So has anyone else noticed there's been a LOT of natural disasters this year? Multiple earthquakes, Morocco, Turkey and Syria. Multiple floodings. Record temperatures across the globe. Wildfires, particularly in Hawaii, but also Canada and the Mediterranean where there's been insurmountable devastation. The US has been inundated with massive storms, tornados costing billions. If I were a paranoid man I'd be convinced it's the end times.

Human Fall Flat has been played by over 14.2m via Game Pass which would get unity $2.8m.

Can the Government ban these XL Bully dogs when they’re not a.recognised breed? I don’t know if it’s mad/bad/unfit owners coupled with a sensationalist press but there’s some disturbing stuff out there. The bloke attacked on Thursday was 52 and apparently just protecting his elderly Mum ffs

Apparently it will be very hard to ban them with existing legislation.
Guy in my village owned one up until it passed a couple years ago. It was a massive softie that never posed a threat to anyone or any other dogs. Would like to get a bit of info on the owners of the dogs that have attacked others. Just know most will be some scummy shit that wants something intimidating that they can treat like shit to make aggressive.
At most now they surely need to say they must all have muzzles on in public.

The issue with XL Bullies, or other "dangerous" or banned breeds isnt so much that they're inherently going to be violent and attack people, but that their physique and strength makes severe injury and death more likely.
I daresay the vast majority are big softies, but if I was going to be attacked by an XL Bully or (if you'll forgive the strawman by using an dog in the other end of the scale) a Yorkshire Terrier I'd much rather face the Yorkie.
Whilst much of the animals temperament will be down to the owners, I feel safe in my assumption that a fair portion of XL Bullies are bought by people because they look 'ard, and it's those kind of owners who'll tend to be shit owners.
Don't see many wannabe gangsters with Sausage Dogs, do you?
The ban is clearly just populist baiting, but I can't say I'm entirely opposed to it.
